Scared but excited!
I only have to do a two day liquid diet and I quit smoking 10 years ago, it's the after I think about. Getting over surgery and hoping and praying I don't have complications.

Hormones
My friends who have been sleeved are colder than before. I've had a hysterectomy but I am blessed because I don't have hot flashes. I am normally a person who is hot though, I blame it on my weight. Estrogen is stored in fat, so when you lose weight maybe your estrogen is dropping. Everyone is different. You can see your obgyn and they can do a blood screening to see if you are starting to go through menopause, but it could just be the weight loss. For the crying, you may need an anti-depressant! God Bless!!!

Having Second Thoughts
I have been going back and forth about my decision...although I thought my decision was final in March...I'm hoping to have surgery this summer, I wish it would hurry so I can get it over with. I have come up with this conclusion, I know I will regret not having the surgery, I might or might not regret having surgery, so having the surgery seems right. I'm tired of eating too much if you want the truth. I hate overeating, I feel bad after I do. I guess it's emotional or out of boredom, who knows. My stomach is big, I hate it, I want it flat! My rant for the day.

Many Questions
I hear straws add air into your drink and can stretch your tummy, but I see people doing it anyway...sugar can make you feel like you are having the dumping that really comes along with the bypass, you can get sick for about fifteen minutes after, plus some people can tolerate sugar and some not...you don't need a lot of sugar anyways...fruits can be high in carbs, eventually you won't need protein shakes, if you count everything, you can get your protein through foods...I hope this helps some

extreme hair loss
Here is some suggestions but it's trial and error...up your iron, sneak a little read meat if you want, take your vitamins, massage your scalp, and on the plus, you all should be about finished with the losing hair phase, it should be time or regrowth.

Question on Insurance Approval
I feel the same way. I have talked to the people at the insurance company, the insurance coordinator at the surgeon has as well, I meet the BMI requirement, and I'm following all the testing required, so I don't see how I could be denied. I will be mad if I do, lol

Serious Serious Advice!
You might want to go to the county board of education or threaten the school with getting a lawyer. There is a no bullying policy where I live. They need to be told that they made a mockery out of your daughter and because of their indiscretions, your child is humiliated and hurt even worse. Ask them where their compassion and protection is for your child. Let them know it is a serious situation about you child's past and you were just trying to protect her, not cause more problems for anyone. Screaming and shouting will not help anything but be firm and persistent. God Bless!!!

Saw the NUT today
I have saw where numerous people had surgery dates before all tests were completed,, but my Dr.' office doesn't do that. So, after my nutrition class the insurance coordinator send the information to my insurance and if approved she schedules me for surgery.
