  1. Well, I started this post and I am six days post-op! I did it, I pushed through. Have I had moments of regret, yes! I'm just telling the truth. I have anxiety though, just sometimes in general. Things have went overall great but with every pain I worry lol, I'm exaggerating a little, but you get the point. Good luck in whatever you choose! God Bless!!!
  2. I'm waiting to get egg beaters next week myself, that's when I start purée stage also
  3. Sorry it took so long to update, my iPad wasn't working right. I had my leak test on Wednesday morning and I passed with flying colors. I came home on Thursday. I never had severe pain, thank God, I had some gas but not severe either. I get better everyday!
  4. Hi everyone, my surgery was a success, the Good Lord watched over me and will continue. M surgeon did some type of leak test while I was still asleep, I swallow the stuff tomorrow for another leak test and then I get liquids, yay! Very minimal soreness and I don't think I have any gas. I have been walking. I will update here, Lord's Will, for a few more weeks in case I'm helping someone else, God Bless!!!
  5. As soon as I can I plan on updating in this post on how things are progressing, prayers are appreciated!
  6. My surgery is in the morning, prayers for all August 12 sleevers!
  7. I'm washing clothes and getting the house cleaned. I still need to pack a bag. I have protein powder, sugar free stuff for my post-op diet. I have my medicine, vitamins, and a blender! Maybe that will help you.
  8. I'm not allowed caffeine two days before surgery because they want me hydrated as much as possible.
  9. I should be sleeved in 48 hours, Lord's Willing!!!
  10. Save one for me sister! I'm excited to get started and get healed so I can enjoy my life!
  11. I do not have my normal acrylic nails on and they are clean but I got a French manicure on my toes...so the bottom part of my toes are see through! I told the nurse my feet are rough and I needed a pedicure and I would just get a French and she started laughing.
  12. My surgery is Tuesday, I have my supplies bought up and got my pedicure lol. I still need to clean the house, starting in a little while!
  13. Well, they should know the price of the initial visit and cost of surgery...I have read $16,000 to $30,000 in the US, so I can't help you there. Talk to someone at your insurance provider, mine knew more than the insurance coordinator at the surgeons office.
  14. I would take it out because my surgeon recommended it too, no birth control. Also, you need to do something else for birth control because it's also dangerous to get pregnant right after surgery.
  15. If you are having an anxiety attack you're not going crazy! I would go see my surgeon and make sure a leak has not formed God Bless!!!
  16. Cathryn, I appreciate you telling about what's going on. I have been gone for hours today getting Pre-registered, seeing the surgeon, another class, etc. and it's really a life changing thing and it makes most people nervous when making the decision to go through surgery. Hopefully, when you can eat more your sugar will be better stabilized and you will stop getting dizzy, God Bless!!!
  17. I have the last Pre-op things to do on Tuesday and I'm going to make sure they order something for my nerves...I want it ASAP after my I.V. Is put in on surgery morning!
  18. Brandy, I'm scheduled for August 12 also
  19. Are you ever really excited and then an hour later, you're like, "can I really go through with this" or "what am I getting myself into"? I just want to know if I'm alone.
  20. It's countdown time for the August sleevers, I pray you do wonderful!
  21. That does that to me occasionally on my iPad, I have no idea why
  22. I'm fortunate enough to have a nephew who is a certified personal trainer and a professional bodybuilder
  23. I have no idea, I'm so thankful I don't have two weeks of that...just do your best, God Bless!!!
  24. I'm not sleeved yet but you have a greatful attitude, it seems like you will be just fine, congratulations and God Bless!!!
