My surgery is on Wednesday the 25th and I have failed miserably with my liquid diet. I am stressed, concerned, upset @ myself, worried. I am such a mess! For the first time since I started the journey, I am doubting if I should do this. Help me please!!!

@hiphop I'm excited for you. I got info about diet from the nutrionist. It was depending on bmi. Mine is 43 so I had to do 1 week of liquid diet. Very hard! @ dm. Its not an open surgery. Very invasive. As per surgeon its just a few cuts. Everything will be great. Make sure you keep us posted! @ thin mint we are on the same boat. Date seems so far yet so near. I can't wait! I'm looking forward to my new life!

I am a little concerned about pregnancy after band. As per what I was told by my doctor I would have to wait 18 months to get pregnant after being banded. I am currently 28 yrs old, in 18 months I'm going to be 30. I worried I will be too old to conceive.

Well I started yesterday. It was so hard. I cheated today. going to give it a try again tomorrow. No let rephrase I'm going to do this. My surgery is on the 25th.

I started my liquid diet yesterday it has been horrible. I fell of the wagon today! But I will definitely get back on! Hopefully it doesn't affect my surgery on Aug. 25th.

Hey mybarra, reading your post got me excited all over again. I will be banded on Aug 25th! I can't wait. I have clothes that currently don't fit me, can't wait to slip them on. I'm excited to go out on the dating scene and see what life has in store for me!

I started my pre op diet yesterday as well. This is torture, I'm starving. I have a headache. What can I eat without having to sabotage? Help please!!!

I have UHC Choice Plus, my surgery was approved. They requested 5 year history of obesity. I have been with my current doctor for 2 years and I called previous doctor's office and they didn't have my chart anymore. My primary doctor was the one that submitted letter. Now I don't have any medical problems now but my pressuse has been goingf up recently and back pains. So it was more approved to avoid future health problems that could be cause by obesity. Right now I am considered morbidly obese. They did not require 6 month diet before surgery.

Thanks ladies! Its good to hear that. Everyone is telling me why I am waiting so long. But I didn't want to get pregnant at my current weight. But I want to have at least one.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
