i have been so frustrated lately with my insurance company they submitted all if my info on aug 19th and on the 23rd it went to the care cordination dept and is still under approval...it just feels like it is taking forever kinda getting a little discouraged so it has been submitted for 13 days now...and just wondering if it means that they don't want to approve it? also wondering if anyone that has uhc has had this same issue? and if the care coordinator has anything to do with helping this issue out in getting it worked out faster? any who sorry to go on this rant but it feels good to get it out.

i am still impatiently waiting :cursing: hoping to hear something soon! and hope it is good news.

hi i have united health care and they do want a 5 year history when u called and asked them did they tell you all of the requirements? mine is a 5 year history, a bmi of 35 with 2 or more co-morbid or 40 bmi with no co-morbids i would deff call and ask them and call your gyno and maybe explain how fast you need your records...i had to call and get some records from a diff doc office and they got them over within 2 days. i wish you the best of luck and hope it gets worked out. who is your employer i think it changes the rules with diff companies mine is uhc with the railroad.

that is a great idea! i just wanna go shopping and feel great & look great doing it lol but my main goal is to be able to be fit and active so that i can keep up with my kids and have energy to do so.

omg! i would be so mad! i would of said "well you better call my doctor because i am not leaving until i get it done" lol i hope it gets worked out soon and they get the date right.

i wish i was related to the hershey family :thumbup: but i am a hershey if i was rich i would pay for all of our surgeries! so then we wouldn't have to worry about our insurance companies...and we could pay for really cute clothes when we start losing are weight. and my dreams go on...lol

so my psych eval just got faxed over to my surgeons office so now all they have to do is send it over to my insurance...my hands and feet are so tingly right now i am so nervous!

i am originally from san bernardino ca...but i now live in idaho...aka the potato state lol :thumbup: and starting to pull my hair out waiting on the psych to send my stuff to the surgeon's office. i feel like if i call them every day to get it done and sent he is gonna say women i am changing it ....YOUR CRAZY! lol

this is for everyone....just curious if you are trying to get approval for surgery what insurance company are you going through?

ok so i went up to the right hand side where it has your log in click on your name it will take you to your page scroll down and it has some info i went to stats and it had my last post so i clicked on it and it brought me here yay

urgh! those insurance companies! i am so sorry to hear that i hope you can fight them hopefully you where in it long enough before they changed the rules they won't make you do 6 month program.

does anyone know if there is an easier way to mark this thread so that i can find it if i leave it? i went to look at something else and had to search hard to find it again

@ summerskygrey the liver shrinking is about 10-14 days (depending on ur doc) i think it is a really low cal diet when they do surgery they want your liver to shrink enough to get to your stomach so they can place the band. it makes it easier for them to get to so how far in the process are you? i am so glad to see people on here going through the same steps as i am :frown:
