  2. As any tried the cleanse diet? I feel like I'm stuck on my weight & thinking this will be a boost to get me going again.

    Pain, Maybe Port?

I had an ultra sound & HIDA scan and both were negative for any issues with my gall bladder. I have an appointment tomorrow to see my Lap Band doc.
  4. Went for a fill a few weeks ago and told my doc that I was having some pain around my port. He said Ok. I left, pain has moved a little. Went to Family doc & they think maybe my gall bladder. Had ultrasound which ended up being negative, now They are sending me to have an injection & to watch to to see if my bladder is functioning ok. Anyone else have issues? Also weigh myself at home, scales says poising about 1.5-2 lbs per wk. Go to doc and it says Im up. Err, don't know what to believe!!
  5. I'm surprised at some of the post about your fills. I'm only at 4cc's & a 1 1/2 years in. My doc will only put 1 cc in. I finally amfilling restriction on this last fill.
  6. I'm like everyone else, afraid to go back because of my failure. I started working out last summer after having my second fill and started gaining wait. My husband ended up in the hospital shortly after, then my daughter became in, lost a friend, never ending. My relief was to eat, eat, & and why not but eat more. All the weight I lost is pretty much back on:(. I started doing Turbo Fire, I love it, but have once again failed myself and stopped working out. I keep telling myself that I am going to call the doc & start back on the right track. I started to drink protein shakes, on week 2 & nothing. Errrr! I love the support this group offers:). I'm setting my phone to call the doc first thing in the morning, & I'm going to workout tonight!

    weight loss

Honsetly, I don't count calories. I have been losing about 1lb a since my fill last Wed. I think that I'm doing ok with everything. My doc told me that 2 to 3 meals a day are fine but nothing more than that and no snacking what so ever. Thanks for the input! )
  11. I was banded on Jan. 13th 2011. I started my pre op on the 2nd of Jan. Just wandering how others are doing with their weight loss. I am down but not sure if I'm doing good or not. I was told at one time that they didn't think I would be down 23lbs by June. I am already plus some. I am at 2cc's (just ahd my first fill last week.) What is the normal? I guess it really depends from one person to the next..... I want to loose about 70 -75lbs. Any suggestions?? Help?? Thanks!!!

    January 2011 Banders

I'm sorry, but that is funny! I am 15 days post op. I have finally been able to get into those old sweaters that I swore some day I would get back into!! So glad I did not give them away!
  13. I drank a Protein shake last night - all I could get down was 3oz. I added Peanut Butter (1 tablespoon) to it which made it sooooooo much better! I jumped on the scale this morning to see how I have been doing and much to my surprise I am down a total 21.6 lbs since Jan 2!!! I am so freaking happy!!!!! I am now 6 days post op. I spoke with the nurse yesterday and told her about my weight loss, she orginally told me that she didn't even think I would be done 23 lbs. by June. She was very surprised. I go back to see the doc in a few days and see what he says.
  14. Has anyone tried the ISOPURE shakes? Are they any good versus another kind?
  15. The diet plan that I was given says: Clear Liquids for 1 - 3 days, full liquids for 2 weeks: including stage 1 baby food. then pureed foods for 2 wks. By this time, I will have had an appointment with the doc about the first fill. I have been eating Chobani Greek Yogurt and drinking Special K20 drink. I still feel as though I need more protein. I did call the nurse today but she has not returned my phone call yet.
