  1. I almost never feel hunger. I only do if I go too long without eating (16 hours) and what feels like hunger when I am super nervous like when I was getting a crown at the dentist Head hunger is still a problem.
  2. I have had real issues with reglan didn't help me at all. Reglan made me even more anxious. The zofran comes in pill form and is suppose to be the strongest anti nausea medicine they make. Even this far out I have to be careful drinking too many fluids near bed time. Are they sure your leak and abcess are all healed? I had a major issue with nausea and vomiting several years ago non sleeve related lasted months for me it was my weird body's reaction to a hormonal issue. Have they tested your thyroid?
  3. The depression can really set you back and feeling nausea and vomitting can really make you depressed. Have you tried chicken broth? I would strain campbell's chicken noodle soup and add some injury chicken broth flavor protein and the warmth helped soothe my tummy down. I also ate a lot of sugar free pudding with protein powder and suagr free jello. Personally I could not tolerate baby food. I got slimey's a lot my first month or two out they are gross.
  4. >>i just cant wait to get past this Keep reminding yourself that you will get past this.
  5. I think leaks occur in a little less then 1% and a leak that happens after the first two weeks the percentage is even smaller so I think their voices get lost. I think there should be a sticky thread on leaks especially since recovery from a leak does take so long and is that much harder. The good news is that everyone I have "met" that have had a leak do get better.

    Bariatric Advantage For Sale

Save them once you are a little further out you can just cut them up and swallow them like a regular vitamin. Also if you are not taking them with food try having something in your stomach with them. You can also take half in the am and half at night (they say we pee out a lot of the full dose of vitamins anyway so it might give you more bang for a buck).
  7. Great idea! Here are mine. I am 16 months out and still love my sleeve

    Unable To Exercise O:(

I am a big time walker I love it and it definitely works for me. Start slowly if your leg prevents you from walking at a brisk pace then walk on hills. Same with the treadmills you can burn just as many calories as a runner with a bit of an incline.
  9. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Great New Years.

  10. Hope Miss Tatum had a wonderful first Christmas.

  11. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas. Did you save an old pair of pants to model?

  12. I love you new profile picture you look amazing.

  13. Hi all, Today I reached a major personal NSV. We have been planning on going to Universal Orlando and visit the Harry Potter attraction. When they first opened there was talk about the seats on one ride being small. They made the outer seat larger so overweight people could ride but they were still small and it was a bit of a stigma if you had to sit there because "everyone knows" Well today I got on the ride I was alone because I was the only one brave enough to ride. The seat that was available was an end seat but an attendant had me switch seats to an inner one so the other person could be more comfortable!!!!!!!
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Sleeve sisters!

  15. Hi All, I was wondering about other 50 something sleevers who are a year or more out. Did any of your skin bounce back? How far out were you when you reached the point that any snapping back that may occur is done snapping?
  16. Running and digging ditches....talk about extra energy post sleeve!

  17. How sad the clinic associated with the hospital I had my sleeve done at is closing their doors.

Should I sleeve or Not to Sleeve

You can sabotage any WLS even DS. The thing that really put me off is that there is a certain class of cardiac medication you can not take after the DS nor are you allowed baby asprin.

    Loose skin rebound

I'm 55 and I notice some of my skin bouncing back.
  21. Typically it slows down when the rapid weight loss slows down about 6-8 months. I was lucky in that I lost very little I took biotin from about 3 weeks before surgery and am still taking it. I also swear by Nioxin shampoo and conditioner system 4 "for noticeably thinning hair" I also took a B complex.
  22. The supplements you need to take forever. I am over a year out and still drink a protein shake every morning. Like the others I mix it up some days adding fruit and sf syrups. I also will make sf pudding with a scoop of protein and then add a quarter cup of it to my shake to give it a thicker consistency.
  23. The supplements you need to take forever. I am over a year out and I drink a protein shake every morning like the others I mix them up sometimes adding fruit and SF syrups or make sf free puddings with a scoop of protein and add a 1/4 cup to my shakes to make them thicker more shake like. The shakes are not required but it is what works best for me especially with my workouts and my higher protein needs.

    Not mentally prepared...

The first few weeks are rough and nothing like how things will be once your sleeve is fully healed and matured. Once you progress to eating mushies things get a lot easier. Just hang in there.
