  1. I'm glad to read everything is good! I'm sorry I haven't texted. My phone broke. But, it's been replaced now!
  2. I'm interested in seeing what you have... =) I'm SO afraid of not having anything that fits for work
  3. Thank you everyone! I appreciate it!
  4. Get some excederine. It has caffeine to help with the withdraw head aches.
  5. Awesome =) MRSKOUBIK.....317..................283.............267..............16 This was rough. I didn't know what number to pick lol
  6. I have unflavored Protein. But, it's gross. I hate it. Thanks for all the answers.
  7. Today makes three days of CONSTANT thirst. I wake up like I haven't drank anything in days. I know how important it is to drink, so I make sure I drink enough. However if I drink as much as my body makes me think I want, then I have issues getting my food in. In the past few days I haven't really ate. I've had maybe one "meal" of liquids per day. But, the rest of the time I feel so full. I've even tried not drinking for 30 minutes before "wanting" to eat to try it. And, I get maybe three bites in before I feel like my belly will explode. I can't get enough protein in just yet. It's all like water/Powerade ZERO. Any ideas?
  8. Could be lots of things. releasing gas. being full
  9. Hope everything went GREAT today.
  10. Yeah, she's GREAT! And, you should. I'm always around! Hahah. If I was you I'd call back. And, ask the following: I'd ask AGAIN if they covered it. Then, I'd ask the requirements. The pricings (how much you should expect to pay out of pocket) And, I'd write down the person's name. If you have any specific questions for the sleeve ASK! That way you have everything you should need. I have a binder that has all my Sleeve stuff in it. Helps me stay organized. I divided into PRE OP, which hold EVERYTHING I got about the surgery, insurance stuff.
  11. I was originally going for the Lapband. And, my NUT suggested the sleeve because I needed to lose more weight then the typical weight loss the band offers. I found this site from the lapband forum I used. And, I quickly fell in love. The people here are AMAZING. So helpful. Especially TIFFYKINS. She has been such a great blessing to me. I text her with all kinds of questions and she's always so nice and helpful! So you're definitely in the right place. I wish you luck on your journey!! Hopefully you'll be a candidate for surgery. I felt my journey took forever. But, now that I'm sleeved I realized my journey was QUICK compared to others who go through insurance. I decided in July. Seminar in August. Sleeved in December (which is what I REALLY REALLY wanted since I'm off work!!) But, the waiting game sucks. Hopefully you won't have to play much more of that! Good luck. If you ever need to talk, PM me! I'm newly sleeved so I'm still learning the ropes. But, I'd be happy to help as much as possible.
  12. I think my surgeon said more stuff was done on that side (staples.) so it would hurt more The incision that bothers me the most is on that side too I have the most pain on my left side. When I cough, sneeze, bend, sleep, move ANYTHING it's irritated. However, it's not TOO painful. Use your best judgement. But youre not alone
  13. I was allowed baby food.
  14. I never seen this section before! I'm 23! I was sleeved December 20th
  15. I added a little more milk to mashed potatoes and turned them into liquid. It still tasted the same and was THIN like soup
  16. We were sleeved on the same day Congrats
  17. I thought I would go crazy. But I didn't. Part of that was because my surgeon made me sign a paper saying I wouldn't gain anymore than 5 lbs or the surgery wouldn't happen. I'm glad though because while I did allow myself to eat one last "unhealthy " thing. I managed to drop about 25 pounds between pre op and the 2 weeks before.
  18. You can do this! If you need someone to talk to I'm a PM away
  19. After the surgery I had my dad, mom and husband there... and all I remember is them kissing me good bye. My hub stayed over night though. I was SO nauseous, in SO much pain. My friend came the next day, and I was still in and out. She stayed at least an hour with me and ALL I remember is a brief SENTENCE of what her and hubby were talking about. The pain meds made me sleepy!
  20. Good luck with whatever you decide. Today marks 5 days post op for me.. and I'm so thankful I made this decision <3
  21. Hope you feel better soon. I'm 4 days post op. Today was my first day wearing a bra. It doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would! I use a heating pad A LOT . It's like my best friend. It helped me fall asleep yesterday. Try that if you haven't yesterday.
  22. I had surgery on 12/20 it was 2 hours late, around 3:30. I went home on Tuesday around 7:30.
  23. I've been getting little hiccups here and there. Must explain it lol
