  5. I'd suggest using plastic stuff.... I know my hospital was against ANY Metal. I had hair bling in... and I had to explain to EVERYONE I saw that while it may look shiny and metallic it is NOT metal.
  6. Third week stall is common.... so any loss is a loss
  7. I slept decent. For the two weeks during pre op I made sure all my last minute things were done... And, of course it didnt hurt that I was absolutely exhausted from lack of Protein and stuff.
  8. My doctor gave me a list of everything that COULD happen from having the surgery. I decided not to worry so much about it because the positives WOULD out weigh the negatives.
  9. I don't think a decision should be based on age, but maturity. It depends how well you're going to be able to cope with all the changes. It's a lot of different things going on. I just turned 24 and so glad I did it! I feel like I'll be able to enjoy more things now
  10. Dazy- Non scale Victory! Congratulations that's AWESOME! Ana jeans are SO comfortable.

  12. Fitting in an "average" size necklace that comes pre packaged with the charms my husband buys me Being able to go to the carnival with my niece and get on the rides without fear. Knowing I'm in the same weight range as my husband. We're only 9 pounds or so apart CONFIDENCE
  13. Welcome Do whatever makes you happy! I think waiting sounds good so you have her support!
  14. Tomorrow the school I work for is taking some kids on a camping trip. It is overnight tomorrow and will run into Wednesday afternoon! I just found out I'm going Whoohoo! Before surgery I don't think I'd have any interest going. There's a LOT of activity involved. And, I would be too nervous I couldn't participate in all the things... You better bet I'm going to be running around participating this time ahhhhhh the benefits of losing 70 some pounds!
  15. I have a 3 dollar budget. If it's not 3 or less, I don't buy it. But, I've also been VERY lucky to have a friend who had VSG in April 2010 who showers me with her old clothes!
  16. I'm almost three months out and have had two colds already. I dont know if it's related of course. But, they SUCKED!
  17. It sounds like she's just afraid. If she needs someone to talk to, message me. I'll give you my number. I'm almost three months post op and have had NO complications. I love my sleeve. Sadly enough, at the end of the day you have to do what's right for YOU. Your health is very important .. so do what you think is right. Hopefully she will come around!
  18. Thanks guys! Uhm, twenty five pounds of that were lost during the PRE op diet... I just eat three small meals a day and some times I do snack a little. I normally eat one egg scrambled for Breakfast. Then at lunch my mom and I share a Lean Cuisine and for dinner... I just eat whatever... Chili... Soup, whatever! I try limiting carbs and sugar but lately I've been allowing myself SOME... I dont know.... for me the weight is just coming off. I do go to the gym about 4 to 5 times a week. I use the treadmill for a mill... elipitical for a mile..... then do the weight stuff....also do Water aerobics some days...
  19. As of this morning's weigh in.... 75 pounds are gone FOREVER! I will be three months post op on 3/20/11. And, I am forever thankful I made my decision to be sleeved Sorry I had to brag.. At my last appointment I made the decision to have my doctor give me a more aggressive goal. So my goal for my next appointment on March 23rd was 35 pounds... I have 25 more pounds to go! Whoohooo!
  20. I feel you. My period was late before surgery. And, I feel like it's playing games with me now! I'm 3 months out and have had my period 4 times... and tons of spotting!
