  1. I have a normal BMI and there are still times if I'm going somewhere where there will be alot of people that I wonder, wow, are people going to be looking at me wondering why I don't do something about this fat?! Or if I do catch someone looking at me someplace, I'm thinking that they're starting at me because I'm fat. I am slowly shrinking out of my size 6 clothing and these are my thoughts at times!! It takes time and effort to get your mind, body, and eyesight to all see and embrace the same image. Not a fast process by any means....

  2. Welcome!! It does make things more difficult without the support of family but maybe they'll come around when they see what great positive changes will be made in your life?!? This is an exciting time when you start counting down the days 'til BandDay. Have fun continuing to peruse around this sight...definately info on anything-lapband! By the way, your pic is downright gorgeous....Beautiful face :)

  3. I've verbally attacked my scale on many occasions. It's been the proud recipient of the " f-bomb" many many times! We have a love hate relationship. I've vacationed in Gulf Shores before and I'd love to go back....beautiful! Congrats on such a great weight loss so early on! Keep rockin it out!

  4. You need to give yourself a huge 'ole break sweetie! It's OK to be a little obsessive about this right now. I think if you weren't, I'd wonder a little.. This is a huge change in your life, a huge "start-over" a way to hit reset on your body. Anyone who is going to have surgery is apt to be thinking about it a whole lot as the date draws near whether it's elective, mandatory, whatever... lapband included. Of course you're going to be thinking about this nonstop! A new way of eating WILL become your new normal in the future. It felt strange for ALL of us in the beginning and anyone who says different is not telling their whole story. But take it one day at a time.. hell! take it one hour at a time if that's better. Don't try to wrap your mind around this whole thing emotionally or physically in such a short time...cause you WILL get overwhelmed and make yourself crazy. And it does affect those around you especially family members. And this will become a new normal in time, too. Lighten up on yourself and as much as you're feeling down, feel excited!!! The anesthesia alone will be fun!
