orange vodka, cranberry jc and a splash of lime!!!
  4. I would have to agree with you about it not stretching your pouch. Your stomach is made out of an elastic material and can be stretched over time, but not by carbonation but by over eating. So we need to be more careful about the food we eat rather than the drinks.
  5. I would definately say if you can't even drink in the morning then you are too tight. I have some mornings when I can't get my cream of wheat down, or even my morning meds, but I can always drink as should you. My nurse told me that she has to drink something in the morning about an hour or two before she can eat cause its true we're all to tight in the morning, but not drinking is not a good thing and I would be afraid it would slow down your progress. OF course non of us want that do we lol. I would see about getting some taken out. I hope this helps!
  6. I was just curious, but how long do you have to stay there for recovery, and how did you start the hole process. Did you have to go there for more than one trip? Sorry for all the questions, but that is a really great price and seems a good way to go. Keep us up to date on how your doing. Good luck!
  7. we have to remember that we had surgery in the center of our core, your tummy. Your core is what supports your back or spine and us not using it or babying it will cause some discomfort for awhile for some ppl. Atrong core equals a strong back!

  9. I was told not to have coffee for awhile because it dehydrates you and being dehydrated could happen because you may not get all your water in at first. Also I was told no raw vegis for 3 months because they're too fiberous for the new pouch. Oh and the soda thing as already stated is because of the carbonation!
  10. I'm also tight in the mornings. I can only eat cream of wheat in the morning. I put a tbsp of peanut butter in it and let it melt. Its added protein, fills me and tastes great. I'm getting my second fill tomorrow, so hopefully I won't be to tight in the morning to not be able to enjoy this anymore!

  13. i totally see why it would be such a bad idea. I didn't realize getting to ur sweet spot could be such a process. I would hate to take it out and then not find my spot for 5 months or so. I would hate myself for it. thanks for the heads up everyone!
  14. Just wanted to say that the reason i was asking or would think a doctor would unfill someone is because I heard from others, and thats why I was asking. to see if it was something common. And I know why i did this and I'm in it for life. I am just learning how to live my new life.
  15. thanks for the replies. i wasnt saying i was gonna go and pig out, I was just thinking that by July i would be really restricted. I'm in a good restriction now and was worried it would be alot more by then, but when i went to get my 2nd fill today, I was told i didn't need it. I am still learning about the feeling and just thought I wouldnt be able to eat much by then if i keep getting fills. I guess my brain was telling me if you don't need much food now imagin in 3 months. I know I'm not (even close) to my goal weight but i don't want to get stuck on vacation since I'm going with other ppl. I just started to learn the stuck feeling this week and hope its something that gets easier by then so I don't have to be so worried about it on vaca!
  16. I was just wondering if anyone has ever gotten an unfill for a vacation and if the doctors really frown on this. I'm going on vacation in July and admit I would like to not be as restricted, but I'm afraid to ask doctor about it. he will probably think I'm rediculous or something. so has anyone thought about this?
  17. just remember if your just getting to solid foods, then your band hasn't truly staarted working yet. When I went to solids I noticed my weight starting to move again. Also when u get your 1st fill, u will start seeing it also. good luck and remember your still in recovery mode and have to be a little more patient. I say that because I had surgery on 03/07/11 and started to get inpatient also. Just relax and it will soon come!!!!
  18. Hello, this may be a weird and stupid question, but with alcohol affecting us differently now, does cooking with wine affect us too. I know when u cook with it, it evaporates. But I didn't know if it would be different with us!
  19. Just be careful, I've read some stories on here of peoples port flipping after doing to much at the gym to soon. I can't wait to get back to the gym too but still scared though
