I wanted to share with the group that I originally started out with!!! I was supposed to have my surgery Dec 06 with you all, but had to be bumped to Januray! Do you remember me? I reached my goal!!!!!! My goal was to get near/at 145 for my 34th b-day (yesterday) and I weighed in today at 147!!!!! How are you all doing????
-
I made it!!!
My all time goal was near/at 145 by my 34th birthday (yesterday) and I weighed in today at 147!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it! I have been trying to lose weight my whole life, yo yoing, being too lose/too tight with the band and still not losing.... But, here I am!!!! Now what??? I need to start an exercise program. Health and fitness is a life long journey for me. I will still come here for encouragement and to encourage others. You all have become like a family to me!

Now, I feel very compelled to start an exercise program. I have no excuse. I am working from home now and have a new bike and a new 21 mile bike trail near my home, elyptical/stationary bike at home, workout CD, an IPod with all my favorite songs!!! How are you all doing???

I am asking for prayer for a friend named Cathy who I met through this board. She has surgery yesterday and I got a message from her that she is in a lot of pain!!! I am worried about her. Please keep her in prayer!

I weighed in at 147 today!!!!!:clap2: My main goal was to get as near to 145 by my 34 birthday (which was yesterday), and I made it!!:faint: I can't believe it! I have lost a ton in inches and none of my clothes are fitting me anymore. My all time favorite skinny pants are baggy now!

The same thing is happening to me right now!!! I did lose 2 more pounds, but my pants are hanging on me! I am getting a lot of people telling me that they fluctuate from weight loss to losing inches as the body is stabalizing. The good thing is something is happening!!!! I'd rather lose inches and shrink than lose weight, but I am glad that I am doing both. So, that puts me to 147!!!!!!!!!!!!! My all time goal was to get as close to 145 by my 34 birthday (yesterday) and I made it!!!!!!!! :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

I actually have not taken up regular exercise. I walk and clean my house a lot, but that is it for now. I take vitamins and supplements that help your skin as you lose weight.

Yeah, that is how it has been for me too. I am working on the strangers who cross my path.:clap2: It helps that I am around it a lot due to the type of church I am in. My pastors will witness anywhere, anytime and I see people getting saved left and right! It is awesome!

You need to know what your post op diet is and than stock up on those things. Maybe like broths, watered down juice, V8, protein drink, etc. I didn't have any depression. I was actually happy!

What happened?? Are you okay?

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Yes, I do have him as my fill doctor. I have gone for 3 fills and am at 3 cc's in a 4 cc band. I would suggest going back to him if you can. He always does it under fluero and they are a little more aggressive than they are here. I would suggest doing the toast test afterwards. After getting filled, they give me a piece of dry toast to see if I can pass it. Then depending on how I feel, I ask them to see is under fluero again to see how the food is passing through the band. So than I have the choice to add or take out, at no extra cost.

It is normal to have some hair loss. They say the body goes into shock, but it will grow back!:biggrin1: Just try to stick to the bandster rules as closely as possible. Protein first, veggies then maybe a healthy carb. This is a good place to come and get support since we all know what each other is going through! I know for me, that daily, or almost daily accountability is very important. We tend to really let go when we are not accountable to anyone! Don't be a stranger!!! Audree
