  1. You have made my day! I am having Lap Band surgery Monday. Each day I have gotten a little more nervous......I guess this is normal. I'm still very excited and can't believe the day is so near. Over the last few days I have also had some fears and doubts, I'm glad to hear this happens to others. I'm starting at 239 and my BMI is 35 (right at the to be or not to be candidate) My problem is I've been losing and gaining the same 30lbs for 6 years. So glad to read your comment. How's this for a non-scale victory? When I woke up this morning, I felt absolutely great! That never used to happened. Now it happens all the time. My mood is terrific, I have energy, my stomach feels flat(er), I even feel taller. Before getting the band, I was very nervous. I had serious fears and doubts about it, so I googled "band" + "regret". I got a bunch of results of people posting "My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner!" And now, that's exactly how I feel. I love you Lap-Band!
  2. Hi, I'm bad about chugging too! That's good to know, my surgery is Monday for lab band. I have a bad habit of chugging Water after working in the yard or working out. Does it make you vomit if you drink fast? I did notice right away, because I had to take tiny sips of water....no more chugging! I have always had a bad habit of chugging, but now at 49 years of age I am learning to sip! my mom will be so proud lol! I hope you reach your sweet spot!
  3. So I'm somewhat consumed with the possibility of hair loss after banding. I already have some thinning and take Biotin 1000mcg each day along with other supplements. Due to the hair thinning, I have had a variety of lab test that have all been negative. My GP says that it's just hereditary and to keep taking Vitamins. I have had weight problems most of my life. I have been losing the same 25 to 30 lbs for the last 10 years. I have been trying to do some research while waiting on insurance approval for Lap-band®® Surgery. I am 42, female with a BMI of 35 and I have high blood pressure. I would appreciate any recommendations. Also, does anyone know the percentage of those that have hair loss after banding? Thanks
