  1. I too only told five people about my surgery. I have been judged throughout my life about my weight and I certainly did not want to be judged about my weight-loss surgery decision as well. However, I know that one of my family members would like to tell some other people so that she can get support from them as she goes through this journey with me. I never looked at their perspective until she shared this with me. Subsequently, she did tell her best friend and she swears that she won't tell anyone else. Be that as it may, this journey that I have embarked upon is one that I want to remain in control with whom I will share it with.
  2. My surgery date is July 12th and my doctor only required me to have clear liquids the day before.
