Hey Tammy, I doing good. But I don't think Im getting enough fluids in. I feel weak. The protein drinks are so sweet I can only take a few sips. What is your surgery date?

Tell us what you are currently eating. That way we can get an idea of what your intake has been. I was sleeved on 8/18 and I feel I'm not getting enough in. I have read that gas and heart burn pains can mask as hunger pains. This is what my intake has been.... 1 16oz bottle of Water all day Jello cup for Breakfast takes about 1/2hr 2 to 4oz broth for lunch 2 to 4oz broth for dinner Today I had a few spoons of very milked down cream of wheat. It was yummy. -
I'm only a week out, but I have read try doing Protein liquids for a week and start weights. They say it will kick it in to gear the next week.

You won't get in trouble. I think thats just something they tell you. My husband and all the rest of the guys he knew had a stack of porn in Iraq they shared. He was there for 18mo. so he had to do something!! They buy them boot leg. But good luck with that...lol:tongue_smilie: -

I feel you Pcindy, I'm not happy to hear you are suffering. I am happy to see Im not alone. I have several of the things you mentioned. The first few days I slept sitting up. I now can drink without pain, but the Jello hurts in the sternal area. I feel weak. The depression is letting up a little. Did you have a BM yet? Not to sound nasty, but it let alot of my gas out. -

Hello All, Thank you to everyone for the well wishes. I got back from Mexico today at 1am. I am feeling fine, just a little weak. Everything with the surgery went great. I had alot of gas and back pain. I was a total baby when I had to do the leak test! YUK! I also have post surgery depression. Some people get it from the anesthesia. I cry for no reason at all. But it should go away soon. My incisions look really good and it no longer hurts to drink water. I'm trying hard to get in my fluids but its not easy.

I had gas pain as soon as I woke up. I had so much pain in my back I can't even explain how bad it was! I can feel bubbles of gas moving around in my stomach and it is painful. Walking helps alot. It is mostly gone now, just a little at night still. But I do have this great thing called Post Surgery Depression! From what I understand it is caused from Anesthesia. I just start crying for no reason at all. Mostly in the mornings. :001_rolleyes: -
Well I made it home. My gas pain is gone and Im doing a little better with sipping water. I was having out burst of crying for no reason at all. I did understand why I was feeling so depressed. Then the doc. told me some people react like this, it is called Post Surgery Depression. It is a side effect from the Anesthesia. My incisions look good. OMG, the worst part is the leak test!!! I did alot of crying and vomiting! Has everything been good with you? Do you have any problems with the protein?
