07/23/2010- I went to my first post op follow up today and I have lost a total of 12 lbs. I wasn't exactly thrilled...I thought I should of lost more considering I have been exercising and eating so very little. But, I am going to have to have patience. I did find out I have a 14cc band that is empty and I will get my first fill Aug. 19th. So, I am excited about losing more weight! If I lose at least 12 lbs. a month...I will be down to my goal weight by this time next year. So.....I am sooooo going to do this!!!07/15/2010Well, I had my surgery last Thursday and I am feeling alot better. The second and third day was the worst for me as far as pain goes. Now, I am mainly just sore and bruised. My swelling has went down alot. I stuck to straight clear liquids the first five days pretty easily but I became very weak, light headed, and my heart was fluttering often. So, I ate some tuna salad that I chewed well and I have tried a few bites here and there. I am worried because I have not stayed on the liquids as told to do and have already went on to bites of food but, I haven't felt bad after doing so and I am watching what I eat as well. It is one week to the day today and I have been really depressed. I'm not sure why. I just kind of feel lost right now I suppose. I think I am being too hard on myself for one thing. I have been fortunate as I have not had any of the complications I have read about other people having that seems to be fairly common...such as: sliming, pbing, etc. The only real problem I have had is with bloating and gas but, I began using gas-x and that has resolved that problem. Maybe, I will be in better spirits tomorrow. My first post op follow up appt. is next Friday on the 23rd. I "think" I have lost about 20 lbs. according my scale at home but, I won't be sure  until I go to the doctor and weigh on their scales. 07/08/2010Well, this was surgery day. The day I was scheduled for surgery I weighed 314 lbs. The morning of my surgery I weighed in at 308 lbs. My surgery went well and I did really good. I had to stay overnight due to my insurance requirements but, was able to go home the next morning.  =)
07/06/2010-I begin my journey July 8, 2010 and I am a nervous wreck! I'm scared to tell too many people I am having it done because I am scared I might not lose weight. I hope everything goes well and Lord please let my liver not be too big!  =)
