  1. I have not had the lap band surgery done as of yet. I am doing some research. I am a little scared however, I have to weigh my options. My Dr. told me I am borderline high cholestoral, high blood pressure and getting to be diabetic. So I guess the option is simple. The only thing is I have lupus with kidney involement which I feel is a double whammy however, if I have this done and i loose weight maybe it will help my lupus and kidneys. Any suggestions?
  2. I have not been banded yet. I am doing some research first. I thought I could get some really good information by joining this group. I am really kind of scared, however, I am quite overweight and I am starting with the metobolic syndrome. That means, borderline diabetic, high blood pressure, cholestoral ect; I sure you all know all about that. I do have lupus, with kidney involvement which makes me somewhat more leary. My husband just says to me "stop eating" I was on prednisone for 8 years and I gained 60 lbs. I was like 200 not 260. I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
