  2. Gar, sounds like you are on the right track. Getting my Lapband is the best thing I have EVER done for myself. You got it for a reason and it sounds like to me, you should let yourself rely on it a little more. Keep your positive attitude and keep up the good work. GO RAIDERS!!!!
  3. I stayed 1 night in the hospital and I think it is a good idea for everyone. I mean you ARE having surgery and it doesn't hurt to be monitored over night. This will allow you to rest without worrying about the family bothering you. Good luck and best wishes!
  4. Every morning for me, but I have weighed myself every morning for as long as I can remember (even before Lap Band). Works for me.....keeps me in check!
  5. IMO you should dine with your family. I would prepare my meals with them, sit down enjoy your mushies while they eat their meal. The lapband is your new way of life and you will always be eating differently from others, especially those who are not banded. I had surgery last year, about 1 week before 4th of July. My brother and sister in law had a spectacular 4th of July Bash with all kinds of wonderful food, but of course I was on FULL liquid diet, being only 5 days post op. My family was and has been VERY supportive throughout my journey and on that day in particular they insisted I sit with them as a family and enjoy my liquid. I did and we celebrated our freedom as a family. This year on the 4th and since my surgery, we eat all meals as a family when we are together, but I just eas ALOT less than everybody else. Good luck on your journey and have a WONDERFUL vacation!
  6. I am kind of a plain jane. My favorite is Yoplait Light Pineapple Upside down cake
  7. Hi Everyone, My 1 year anniversary has just passed and my total weight loss thus far is 45 lbs. Just wondering what other banders loss has been on their 1 year anniversary
  8. I am enjoying an Adult beverage daily, but I make sure I have it 1/2 hour before I eat or at least 1 hour after I eat. Usually a glass of wine or Bloody Mary and sometimes a Margarita. I have a beer once in a while, but not too often as it is too bubbley.
  9. 9 months out as of last week 6.5 cc in my 10 cc band. Feeling pretty close to "sweet spot". Maybe another .24 or .5 cc will do it I thnk!
  10. I have a 10 cc band and as of last week 4/1/11 I have 6.5 cc. Feeling ggod restriciton, but think it could have about .5 cc more to reach green zone
  11. I was banded 6/29/10 and have lost 24 lbs. ********1 lb away from ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I had my surgery on June 29, 2010 and have been back to see my Dr. 2 times also. I am schedule for a fill August 23.......almost 8 weeks after surgery : (
