Hi Strangers! How's everybody doing? The changes to the site kinda threw me. Holiday was super busy and I had to work. This Sunday is going to be the third Thanksgiving dinner for my hubby and I. I think I don't want to see another turkey until this time next year. Put up our Christmas tree Sunday, and most of our decorations. Talk more later, just want to hi and I'm still kicking. Shar ps... I'm in on the weightloss challenge that starts tomorrow.

Tracy, I hope your kids are feeling better and you are trying to get some rest. My youngest son is named Dylan, too. Right now I am fighting off a cold, so far I think I'm winning. I have to work all weekend...ugh! Right now I'm sitting here trying to get motive to do housework, I think I'll have a hot cup of tea and get started. Shar

Hi all! The weekend with my im-laws went pretty good. At the reunion there were still a few people that avoided each other. But that just eveything pleaceful. I did sample a few things on the dessert (just sample). Now I have to bringing all the Christmas decorations and tree upstairs from the basement. I'd like to have everything up and out before Thanksgiving (if I could get away with it, I'd leave everything up for a least 5-6 months). I love the holidays and Christmas is my favorite. Catch you guys later. Shar

Hey all! I'm still here just been real busy. This Saturday is "wood day", every fall my hubby's family gathers at my in-laws to chop wood for them for the winter. The men chop wood and the gals make homemade soup, breads, desserts. On Sunday there is a local family reuion, hubby has a large family and most of them live within a fifty mile radius. So every year we have a big family carry-in meal usually early in Nov. I've been sticking to my lap band healthy eating habits, this weekend will be stressful though (just a little too much of hubby's family, it does not always go well). Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it all turns out. Hope everyone is well and keeping their chin up, the journey continues. Shar

Susie, do we have to call you Hop-along now? Tracy, you have an excellent attitude, this is a journey not a short trip. We are all in this together. :frown: Shar

Evening all, I did not barf today, sticking to mostly liquids. Thanks for all the good advice. Liquid Motrin is a good idea, I'm going to pick up some on my way home from work. I don't think my stress level is any higher then normal. Catch you guys later. Shar

Hi everybody, I don't know what's going, but I have been barfing a lot. I'm going back on full liquids for a few days. I had my last fill 4 weeks ago, so I don't I don't know why all of sudden things are getting stuck. I may give my doc a call in am. Today I oriented on the Oncology unit, worked Oncology for years 2002-2006. It was nice, it is all outpatient. The unit I worked on previously was all inpatient. Hope everyone has a nice evening. :wink2: HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL! I had to work last night and the hospital was really slow. Seeing all the kids in costumes on my way to work brought back a lot of memories of when my kids were small (my baby is 16 and 6'1"). We live in the country now so no trick or treaters. Friday DH and I went to see the movie RED, it was laugh out loud funny. Hope everyone is having a safe and sweet holiday (but not too sweet, lol). Shar

Hello everyone, I haven't been on line for a few days. As always if you haven't heard from me I not eating right. Last Friday Larry and I went out to dinner, Mexican food (ugh!!). Then on Saturday we went to Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. The village is an early 1900s setting. We had a lot of fun, of course the were a lot of old fashion treats. We ate lunch at The Barn restaurant there, I did well with lunch, but with the treats not so good. I'm not obsessing over it, what's done is done. Shar

Tracy, try some Jello sugar free dark chocolate pudding. It always takes care of my sudden choco craving. Shar :wink2:

Hi everybody, It has been a really busy past few days. I'm happy to say I have been eating like a bandster without much difficulty. Once I decided that I was in it for the long haul and not a quick fix, I don't make what I'm eating (or not eating) the focus of my entire day. Oddly it makes staying on track so much easier. Tracy, glad things worked out well with your in-laws. I too, have had in-law issues. Long story, get into another time. Hope everyone has a nice evening. Shar

Good Morn' everyone. I've had a kinda lazy weekend, just did housework and hung out with Larry (hubby). We are going to hog roast later this afternoon. Tracy, all is good. I have been keeping a food diary and it really helps. Diary helps me to be aware of what I am eating and proportions. Feels good to just have some down time. Sounds like you had fun on your trip. Spare of the moments trips are the best. Shar
