  1. I remember being sore too and actually scared to drink because I didn't know what to expect. I couldn't and still can't tell what full really feels like. I just know I get a tightness in my chest and stop eating or drinking when I do. I'm assuming that's it. I still haven't gone to the bathroom normally since my surgery almost 2 weeks ago. I've only been once since I've been home. I can't wait until I can walk and it doesn't feel like I'm pulling strings. I feel like a puppet but everyday gets a little better. I have to remember to eat on schedule and drink my protein shakes. I am doing well with my water though.
  2. Hello! I just got banded on June 21. Hopefully, you're very pleased with your doctor, have asked extensive question and gone to any support groups to talk to others. I did all the above. I was very nervous the day of surgery. I was a straight up ball of nerves....lol Well, they took me to pre-op, my doctor came by and asked me how I was feeling and if I had any last minute questions, the next things I know, the anesthesiologist comes through to give me something to help me "relax" and when I wake up..It's all done! I will tell you that you will experience discomfort. Ask for your pain drugs if you need them and even though it hurts like hell, you will have to get up the next day to start walking. Each day gets a little better. I'm still very sore from my procedure but I'm not where I was. I actually have my first pre-op appt tomorrow and I can't wait to see how many pounds I've lost in the last month until now, know how I'm healing and progressing and when I can start eating solids. The liquid diet will grow old real quick! I'm sick of it! I'm ready for some fish and veggies....lol You will be fine. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll come back and let us know how your experience was.
