  1. I had my surgery done over a year and a half ago. My surgery center is now telling me they recommend having an EGD performed each year to ensure my band is working properly. They never mentioned this procedure to me prior to the surgery or until now. I have had no issues with the band and kind of feel like they are just trying to get me to pay for something else. Has anyone else heard of this being necessary? Thanks.
  2. I am 10 days post-op and starting having same pain on left side under rib three days ago. It is a constant pain, but worse after I eat. Talked to nurse today and she said is commonly due from constipation and suggested Milk of Magnesia. It helped within a few hours and relieved the pain tonight.
