I had lap band surgery 3 years ago.  My insurance did not cover the cost.  I used my inheritance and savings.  I have been very disappointed with my doctor thru the years due to misinformation and not acting on my reports that the band is not working.  In May it was discovered that my band has eroded through the stomach.  It must be removed.  I have already gained back half of the weight I had lost.  Again my insurance will not cover the cost to have it removed.  Additionally I now have a hyatal hernia (not sure I spelled that right).  I have made 2 trips over the last year to the ER due to abdominal pain.  I feel cheated and distressed because I'm on my way to gaining all the weight back.
