  1. Found out we are expecting in January! Now praying for a healthy baby...

  2. Haven't been on here in ages--kind of stalled in my weightloss after moving back to Ohio. But getting back on track now!!

  3. Bought a Fitbit today...we'll see if it helps me in my journey! I surely hope so!

  4. been to the gym 5 days this week so far and met a workout buddy there! We are meeting up tomorrow afternoon as well. Praying I see the numbers start to DROP on the scale a bit more.

  5. Ok, it was FREEZING last week...and I missed the gym 3 days in a row. Poo! But went back tonight!!

  6. I worked out 6 days last week and I'm on day 2 this week...woo! Kicking my own butt!

  7. Happy to have lost 4 pounds this week! :) Getting there!

  8. Long time, no post. Lots happening...not all good.

  9. You are looking AMAZING! :)

  10. Don't give up. I'm having a rough time of it right now too...haven't had a fill yet and feeling like a failure for eating what I think is too much or not the right stuff. But we have to help each other thru this "bandster hell" we're going through. When were you banded again?

  11. Thanks for the blog comment! I'm heading up to Minnesota next Friday. It's about a 6 hour drive from here in the Chicago area. Not TOO bad. The awards this is in two weeks! I'm nervous, but I don't think I won anyway, so I'm just going to go and have FUN!

I feel like I've been neglecting this site, though not intentionally! Sorry I've been MIA! ;) I'll try to sneak on here when I have some spare moments! Keep in touch!

  12. Hi! I was up and around very quickly after this surgery. And I was driving (though uncomfortably) 2 days after surgery. My surgery was on a Monday and by Friday night I was out with friends to see a band. You should be fine! And, though I have never had a c-section, I have heard other people say that it doesn't even come CLOSE to that! So if you can survive that, you'll be fine!! :) It's so minimal and uninvasive--two 1/2 weeks later and all 3 of my incisions are closed up, the two little ones are barely pink anymore! Best of luck to you! Add me as a friend and stay in touch!

  13. Thanks for the message! Yeah, I have been too busy to even get online! Sad, but true. Ha! I'm doing good, though! How are you?

  14. I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well! That is awesome!! I haven't even begun to pack yet. Haha! Only looking at apartments/houses to rent in the Minneapolis area online until I go up there in 2 weeks. But I decided to drive up there instead of fly. It's only a 6 hour drive and at least that way I'll have my own transportation around town. Five weeks! Ack!! And 3 weeks till my first fill! :)

  15. Go to LAP-BAND?.com and I think you can register for one under My LAP-BAND? Journey. It has your surgeon's name and number, type of band used, surgery date, max fill volume and has a diagram of where the band is placed. It says it is MRI compatible and has some drug warnings on it for ulcerogenic meds. At the bottom of the card it has a note to restaurants. "Please allow this person to order smaller portions, as the amount of food this person can eat has been greatly reduced."

  17. Well, at the bottom of the LB card it has a note to the restaurants. So I didn't explain much. ;) I'm eating soft foods, really. Nothing really crunchy yet. And I'm still chewing chewing chewing! Making sure everything is super soft when I swallow. Maybe that's why I haven't felt full as quickly as when I will eating more solid foods or after I get a fill. I can't wait till that fill! I hope you are doing well!!!

  18. Hi!! I am eating almost anything that I can make mushie. But my favorites are tuna, mashed potatoes, string cheese (chewed up well), chicken breast (tiny bites, chewed well), cottage cheese, yogurt, salmon, and still having a protein shake about once a day. How are you doing one week post op??

  19. Thanks for the blog comments! I will definitely stay in touch! :)

  20. How did your surgery go?? Remember to walk a LOT and take GasEx to help with any potential gas pain. It's a miracle drug in my opinion! Let us know how everything came out! :) Wishing you well.

  21. You insprired me to start a blog as well! http://mags79.blogspot.com Follow me too!

  22. Hi! Welcome to the site!

  23. Ok, I am going to take your advice about waiting a few days for the fill till I get back! Because that was SUCH a stressful situation last year, standing on stage in front of 5,000 people! I definitely don't want to be sick! By the way, I posted my entries in the Photos section, so you can see them if you'd like!! Thank you so much for the advice!

  24. I saw your question on Pamie's blog about weightloss and going back to work. I have gone back to work already and my surgery was on Monday. Granted I'm doing light work for now, but it's standing most of the day and walking around, plus computer work. Also, I have lost about 4 pound in 4 days. :)

  25. It went great! Going in on July 12th for my first fill. :) I've lost 4 pounds since Monday--after I lost the weight I'd put on from swelling and everything. ;) How are you doing??
