  1. got my band on friday the 11th. doing pretty well. i had really bad gas pains for the first couple of days. they said the air bubble was the size of a small melon on the x-ray. its starting to get a little better now. i've been walking and walking and walking some more. i haven't had any hunger at all so it has been a chore to get down all the fluids. just glad the hardest part is over.
  2. my surgery is tomorrow morning at 8am. i'm just now starting to get a little nervous. i'm sure of my decision to have the surgery, just dreading the recovery. very excited though good luck to all my fellow june 11th bandsters!
  3. hi everyone  this is my first post. my surgery day is june 11th! yay! my doctor wanted me to lose 20lbs before surgery, so i've been on a diet of 2 protein shakes and a small low-carb meal a day since my initial consult on the 10th. i went last friday for my dietary consult and started my 2-week liquid only diet. so far i'm down 14lbs. my doctor sells bariatric advantage in his office, but i've been using the isopure dutch chocolate i got from gnc. i went ahead and got a pkg of the ba banana at my appt friday.....disgusting! isopure is muuuuuch better!
