  1. Hi Jennifer, Fingers crossed with the MRI results. I called the reg nutition line and left a message for Monica. Another Nutritionist called me back though. It was very helpful to talk because I am getting a little frustrated with the options. I am still feeling wiped out. I did have a suger free fudgsicle which is a little higher in calories then the popsicles. L
  2. Feeling better today. I spoke with the nutritionist on the phone today and she said I could start having some yoghurt and some cream (low fat) Soups. I am so looking forward to going to the grocery store tonight and shopping for some low fat/low salt options. Jennifer: How are you doing? L
  3. Hey there, Jennifer is kind of grumpy...It's definitely not you. Have you ever heard her voicemail message? She talks a mile a minute..
  4. Hey There, I got home on Thursday as well. Feeling alright but today I have a fever. Dr. R told me that if it goes up to 101 then I need to go to the emergency room. Did anyone have massive bruises when taking the levonox? Jennifer: It was neat seeing you. I hope you are feeling alright. It's good that they are being proactive about your liver. Did anyone have trouble finding the liquid tylenol that wasn't for children? How active were people after their surgery? L
  5. J: I am sure that will help, though you should probably eat some roughage. Can you do a romaine, green pepper, cucumber salad with 4 oz cut up chicken at night? It is very filling. You can also call me if you want I can send you my number. I think sometimes it's easier if you have a buddy. My husband and 4 year old are active participants in this. My son (the 4 yr old) likes to make my shakes for me. Anyhoo, if you need support I am here!!!! Figure we should get to know each othe rconsidering we both have Dr. R and will be at his mercy on the same day. Can we request to room together in recovery? :cursing: L
  6. Jennifer, Definitely don't cancel your surgery. Try to just finish up the week with the shakes and meal at night. You could skip the meal and just go full force with the shakes if that's easier. I know how hard it is. I ate a a lot of things I shouldn't have before I went on the the pre op diet. If you just do the shakes you will probably lose at least 3-5 lbs before Wed. Also make sure you drink your Water. I have been using the 2 cups of greens (lettuce) pretty liberally as well as the 1 cup of peppers and cuckes with Paul Newman's diet dressing. It helps fill me up. Hang in there. Just a few more days. Then we are on complete liquid! Do you have someone to support you at home? Lilytime
  7. Hey Jennifer, That was the time that Dr. R's assistant had mentioned but yes I need to call the day before, just like you. Hmmm perhaps we will be recovering roommates...we should look for each other. :cursing: It's nice to know that you will be there too! Evenings are very very hard. They always have been. I actually am astounded that I haven't had any carbs (except for the ones in the Protein shakes and two fruits/veggies). The caffeine situation is difficult. What shake have you been using. The carnation instant Breakfast has been the one for me. I actually wound up ordering two cases of it on the Nestle website. So hard to believe it is almost here. I started the journey in August and I remember when he told me how much weight I needed to lose I wanted to cry. I was thinking that he would send me on my way until I lost it, but the monthly check ins were so crucial. Also so glad he required it because now I am used to eating less. Though this will still be hard. lilytime
  8. Thanks Carol. I am at 9:30 AM. feeling good about it. I have lost 62 pre op pounds from August. I never thought I would get to this day....
  9. Hi There, I am scheduled for surgery at B&W on June 2 as well. Starting to feel nervous. A bit upset that I ate 2 oz more of salmon tonight at my "meal". It's my own fault bec/ I didn't have enough shakes today. Did anyone have to stay in the hospital for more than one night? I am also a bit scared about the general anesthesia. Any advice? Another quick question, post surgery do they group patients that have had the same surgery in the same room? Thanks. Lilytime
