  1. Okay, For all my challengers that is going to meet our goal weight next year. Here is what I've started with: 1000 to 1200 calories per day..( I try to stay as close to the 1000 calorie mark). Drink 8 ozs of fluid every other hour, because sometimes you can still be full from your health meal and cannot eat the next hour....Special note: (if you have to drink more than suggested....try eating crush ice....so you won't be drinking to much fluid. Because again to much fluid builds weight gain....(These are some tips I do for myself). Protein (any healthy protein that is low in fat and high in protein) I bought 30 cans of tuna in water. (I do love tuna). I east 1 can per day. Vegetables...Try to stay focus on green vegetables for many reason.....If your going to eat starches or carboyhdrates....East as much whole wheat....Such as rice, noodles.. crackers...(I find that whole wheat crackers have to much salt. So I eat the no salt regular. Not to much bread...Even though you can find whole wheat bread...But it is still dough which makes you blow-up in weight....I eat maybe and I mean maybe 3 slices of bread a month.....Snacks... sugar free's as much as possible. To much sugar and to much fluids can have you gaining also..... Keep a workout regiment. Upgrade whatever you were working out with. Do a little more advance. Target exactly on what body part you are trying to cut down and build muscle. Remember this slogan every time you eat something and workout (PROTEIN BUILDS MUSCLE AND MUSCLE BURNS FAT) Now let's do it.. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. I'M GONNA NEED IT....:scared2::thumbup:

    Buckling down

    Okay, time to get off the merry go round and pull this weight-loss into high gear....My anniversary date is 3/25/11. My goal is to be a size 12... I'm still in a size 16...(Because I have been sidetracking a lot)...Time to get back to basics....PROTEIN.! PROTEIN.! AND MORE PROTEIN.! HA!HA! (You'll know what I'm talking about)... Beef-up my workout regiment and keep all negative things from building within me because I am an emotional eater... I WILL MAKE MY ANNIVERSARY GOALS.... WHO'S WITH ME.....!! MEET YOUR GOAL....."YOU CAN DO IT" .....

    Feelings for today.....

    Ladies here is some uplifting feelings that keep me going..here goes......Remember when you were in that sexy size that no on could tell you anything.....Well, close your eyes and image being there again. Now when your open your eyes tell yourself "Self Were Gonna Do It"....Remember the mind is the controller and the body is the follower....I can surely say GOOD-BYE TO THE 200LB MARK......I AM OFFICIALLY 195....YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....A friend of minds says I should get down to a 7/8 because she was saying that was my drop down gorgeous size....I think I'm only going down to a size 9/10 We'll see....I love talking on this blog because I can really express how I'm feeling and I know everyone on here can relate to some extent..... Please continue to suport me...Sometimes my so-called fiance.(Who only works out whenever he wants) Had the nerve to say to me...."I don't go to the gym to loose weight(even though he's 291)..I know you go because it's apart of you not me...I say your so rightttttttttttt because today I AM LOOSING THIS WEIGHT ONLY FOR MYSELF AND NO ONE ELSE. And this time it will stay off.....LADES LOVE YOU!!! I'M 43 AND FOR THE FIRST TIME. I REALLY, REALLY, LIKE AND LOVE MYSELF.... GOD BLESS TO ALL MY LBP (LAP-BAND PEOPLE).... :wub::tt1::thumbup::thumbup:

    Just starting out :)

    Your still young, before you get this surgery you have to ask yourself can you commit to changing your eating habits for the rest of your life. No more over-eating, no more eating to get extremely full. Psychologically you have to be ready. Because it doesn't matter what kind of surgery you get done you can medically hurt yourself and it can be life threatening if you push the band and even the gastric bypass to far. Good luck in your decision..!!!

    Welcome to the new you. You will see there are lot of ways of eating healthier and still taste good... I found that trying to drink 64 ozs of water ain't gonna happen.!!! Now that I'm banded and have been for 6 mos...(Lost 52lbs)...I found I can only drink about maybe and sometimes 48 ozs of fluid per day...Which includes my coffee, milk, protein shake and waters.... Good Luck! AND REMEBER WERE ALL HERE FOR YOU......!!

    You know you must be doing something right when you go into a gym to workout at my size (16) and as my favorite singing group "Klymaxx" says :tt1:"The Men All Pause"......:tt1:But don't get me wrong I love to be admired (what woman don't) but I first focus on my workout regiment and after I'm done I take a minute to admire all of my admirers. HA!HA!... I haven't felt this good in so long. I'm listeining to my band moreso. When I'm full I don't push it. Find something to do to take your mind off of foods. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LBP...WE ALL NEED THE INSIRPATION. IT'S NOT EASY BUT IT CAN BE ACCOMPLISH.:frown::w00t::ohmy::w00t:

    10lbs in one month!!!!!

    Congradulations.. Your doing great...You definately also help keep me inspired. When I truly started this journey I was orginally 265. Now I'm down 197. It's not easy but it can be done..... Go girl!!!!

    I did it!

    Feel refresh

    Good lbp(Lapbandpeoples). First I thank my Creator for waking me up and allowing me to see another beautiful day. Second,, my workout is coming along pretty good. I went to Bally for a 7-day free pass. (check with your local ballys) and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will be joining a gym the first of the month. I see how fast you can loose weight when you do go to a gym. ( I lost 45lbs by workingout at home) and I lost 4lbs this week just by going to the gym. OMG I am almost fitting those size 16 jeans. As Denise Austin says it "You Can Do It".

    Well it definately will be a life change. I find that researching on everything I always wanted to do. Start doing it. Find whatever you need to do to keep yourself preoccupied from eatiing. Good Luck!

    6 month mark

    Congradulations....I am so happy for you. I started in 3/10(surgery date) at size 24 now i'm a size 16. It's is hard but not so much. I am sooooooooo proud of you. Keep up the good work and remember it's all for you first than everyone else. I hope that also inspires you.

    Short-term goal

    :thumbup:OMG SO IN LOVE WITH ME.......I have met one of my short-term goals. I am down 198lbs. Haven't tried the size 16w jeans yet. Will wait until Sept 30.....Life is good..!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

    i'm not loosing any more weight

    If all fails then go back to basics.....1st step liquids. 2nd step puree foods...3rd step soft foods. You definately can loose wth steps 1 & 2. Good Luck!

    can't stay on the diet...not losing weight !!

    YOU CAN DO IT...We all have had struggles, but you have to ask yourself."How Much Do You Want This". Who are you doing this for.....? and if for yourself....That's half the battle right there. Like the previous person said. Your going to have to go back to basics...Get those protein shakes hich cut down on eating regular foods. Get spiritually attached. Hug yourself everyday and tell yourself, "I LOVE ME". I know it may sound dramatic but sometimes fighting those food cravings can be hard and sometimes you have to put yourself on the highest pedel--stool you can think of to fight for YOU.

    Short tem goal

    Well I have set another short term goal....To get confortably in my size 16 jeans at then end of this month (September)..I can pull them up but I can't close them....Bally Fitness sent me a 7 day free pass to workout..(Of course they want me to join...) But if there's one thing I've learned is that most of the poplular fitness centers are offering free pass.. Curves also sent me one...If your in the Philadelphia, PA area look into it...AS WE SAY, "GET IN WERE YOU FIT IN"! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.....

    HELP!!!! Does anyone have medi-cal/medi-care..or molina insurance??

    I know if you have medicare they would be consider your primary insurance and to my understanding just as long as you have a medical condition. You are approved... with medicare there are three easy steps. 1. Medical condition 2. Do you have medical history to show you have been obesed for a few years 3. Have you tried in the past to loose weight. Such as Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers....etc.
  23. It's hard but then it's not hard.. You have to ask yourself how bad do you want this....If food can still go through easily, than think of something you can eat that is low in fat, sugar carbs.... Such as sugar free icream-cream, sugar free pudding with a tablespoon of cool whip...I cup of mash potatoes with boil chicken....Boost or Glucerna drinks.. You can also go on this website for lapband people..www.realizemysuccess.com they have lots and lots of good food...Also do things around the house, create projects that never existed before. Call a friend that is into workingout even though they didn't get the band done....Try not to eat bread, white noodles and rice (even though the bread is whole grain, it's still bread) maybe once a week. Think of you fighting for you like you have never stood up and fought for you in your while life.... . Good luck! Please keep me posted.

    :thumbup:I have met one of my short term goal...As of 8/16/10 I lost 45lbs...Now I'm going to set another one...Lose 15lbs by November 1....Good Luck Everyone of your Journey... P.S.
