    Had my first fill today!

Aloha - I had my first fill yesterday and am waiting to find out what "restriction" I have. Wont get to have anything until tonight for dinner, 24 hours after the fill and liquids during that timeframe - any suggestions on what to eat or what not to eat? Going to go slow and chew chew chew - whatever it is! I havent had any problems at all so far....knock on simulated wood:smile:
  4. hang in there - I think we are all in the same spot of time...post-op with major hunger while waiting for a fill....geez, I had read about how people had experienced it - but didnt really see any posts for it until now. Just waiting for my fill on 7/12. Not really losing (or gaining) since going to mushies, (while I wait for a fill) and wondering if the loss will kick in again. What I do, is go for a lap, walk around the office or try to get my attention on something else. But I am able to eat - a LOT. I was able to drink two cups of broth and then most recently was eating lots of things that were on the post op plan, but then emailed the dietician and she said that I should still be shooting for eating only 4 ounces at a sitting!!! I am going to have to work on that!
  5. just curious if you were able to find something?
  6. aloha - what about if you try to sell Pampered Chef or tupperware or Avon or other products from home? There are lots of new alternatives like Southern Living and all that...you might try an eBay business from home or something - just a few suggestions good luck - chin up - get motivated, success is the best revenge! go... gooooo... Gooooooooooooooooooooo!
  7. THAT is precisely why I cannot go back so soon, headed back on Monday...by then I hope to be done with running to the restroom in haste and able to make zero noise....grumblings are pretty loud too glad you got back, for me, still too soon, 4th day for me, not sure what to say

    Any June Bandsters???

banded June 10th and finally starting to get back to normal with reduced swelling etc. Dont worry. Did the preop liquid diet for 3 weeks and didnt cheat. feel pretty darn good, dont worry and do what you need to get it done - you will be glad that you did now, for the rest of my life...

    Holly Hell Batman!

I had a hard time at first with the mental part of it, the first couple of days being the hardest. After that it was gravy, pardon the pun. the weekends are hardest, because you have more time to think about eating, try to concentrate on something else or start typing and keep a log, you wont be able to eat if you are typing, just put down all your thoughts and feelings and keep track of your progress - dont cheat - this is one time when it only hurts you

    Where will we be?

Aloha - I am scheduled for June 10th, hope to be 100 pounds lighter by one year...I've set a shorter term goal of 50 pounds lost by December for our trip to Hawaii. Doing quite well ont he three week liquid pre-op diet. 19.5 pounds lost so far! Hope we all do our very best to lose the weight and be happier and healthier...good luck to everyone! Go June 2010 Bandsters! By my birthday next year in July, I hope to be rid of 100 excess pounds, we'll see
