    Day 64 Post Op - 67.2 Pounds - 1 Fill

See this is what I pray happens to me, I have not had surgery yet and I posted earlier that I was a bit scared by reading other people not having great success. I am hoping that this is a tool to help keep me full/eat less the rest I can handle, I work out all the time. I just can't seem to stick to low calorie diet. Please tell me that this will help me not eat as much...please.....

    don't feel anything

Okay so I am about a week and a few days from my surgery and I am kinda freakin' out a little because I have gone back and forth about which one to have and when I read things like what you are talking about it makes me nervous, will I be able to do it, I thought this was supposed to be a tool to help me not be as hungry, will it help me stay on only 1200 calories....I AM SCARED, HELP
  5. What was my diet like?

I was REALY strict with myself for the first 9 months or so. Protien first then a few veggies. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE cottage cheese so it wasn't unusual for my meal to be a chicken breast and cottage cheese or roast beef and cottage cheese or tilapia and cottage cheese. The cottage cheese help change up the textures so I didn't have problems getting anything down. You can find a few entries in my blog about what I ate.

    getting ready to get banded

So I have my surgery on June 4th. I, of course, have read everything I can but I am still very interested in "what to expect" from those who have been through it. I was reading some blogs and people say they will never eat a burger again or a steak, is that true? you will never be able to do that or is that just the case up front? I have not been told too much about diet after the first 8 wks, but I am curious as to what ya'll are living on? I am excited and scared and was this the right choice, should I have thought about the bypass, what if the thing slips, or erodes, or what it the port does something strange, will I be able to feel in on my stomach, will i feel the port floating around...I guess I am a little nervous but sooo excited about the fact that I am going to have help with my calorie intake. anyone want to mentor me? :rolleyes2:
