  1. Haven't dared to get on the scale since I have been eating and not wisely. Going to get my second fill on Sept 7th then I will know what my weight will be good or bad. Heck I got the lap band to restrict my in take of food and guess just got a bit disheartened when I didn't really feel any change. People that have had their sweet spot fill told me it will get a lot easier once I reach that spot and not to worry about things until then. Easier said then done! I am a food a holic so if I don't have restriction this is going to be a waste of time and money as well as the risk involved having it done and the scars....why don't I just get my act together is something I need to figure out! Up beat but still loving food too much! wink.... okay love / hate with food....love to eat it but hate the weight gain... blushing.....

Hope you are doing better then me! Hugs

  2. Where are you? I can't reach you by phone and you are not here either....you're scaring me now!

  3. Also wanted to say! I love your sweet baby girl! They grow up too fast though! Enjoy your precious gift!

  4. I think you are doing great with 22 lbs lost! My fill was only 4 ccs and still no restriction. I really need to feel the restriction or I am afraid I will really start to go over board!

My second fill is on Sept I think it's the 7th. If they don't put at least 4 more I will cry! Don't want this surgery to be for not!

Wishing you all the best with your journey....hugs

  5. My fill didn't restrict me. It was 4 ccs but maybe the next time it will. Haven't weighed myself this week and haven't been doing well with the eating. Stressful week because my daughter 18 seen three of her guy friends get stabbed while they were having a good time at a park that use to be safe. They all survived but it was very traumatic for everyone. Food is my comfort I guess because I always run to it when I am hurting inside. Was doing so well before that too!

Congrats on the weight loss! This will work as long as we don't defeat ourselves.

Good luck staying on the journey to a thinner, healthier you!

    Hugs,

    Lisa

  6. Glad you got the faxes! You are going to be sick of the drinks by the time you are able to go onto mush food LOL you will think it is the best meal ever! LOL Of course you will drop a lot of weight due to the liquid then mush and healing from the surgery makes you not have hunger pains but you will crave food no matter what even with the lap band. Which means we still have to fix our mindset with junk food! Good luck and keep me up to date on your progress! Oh for me I got the fill but still need another because I still don't feel the restriction to prevent me from over eating. Maybe my next one will hit the sweet spot! TTYL

  7. Hey Tommy did you get the fax I sent? Hope it helps! Good luck!

  8. Carol: Trying to reach you but get no response. Are you okay?

  9. Why did you delete the picture of you in with the Easter bunny? I loved that pic! Put my pic of me dressed up for Halloween to keep the theme going.

  10. Tommy, I faxed over the papers I had for the lap band. Sorry it took me so long to remember to bring them to work. Hope they help you to start your journey to a healthier you! Hugs

  11. Honey Brown: Your day is almost here! You are going to do great! Let us know how you do when you can! Good luck

  12. Wishing the best on your journey to a new healthier you!

  13. Hi Princess, How was your first fill? You okay?

  14. Had my first fill today. It wasn't all that bad, just a pinch. 4cc's and on liquid for two days now.

I have trouble wanting to drink with my meal but my hubby is always there to remind me of what I can't or shouldn't do.. LOL Over ate eating out and the pain was terrible. Never will do that again...chew chew chew slowly and prevent the pain. Let me know how you are doing! Good luck

  15. Taterbugsmom: How you doing?

  16. I will fax you over the info tomorrow when I am back at work. Sorry it took so long to get back on here and get the fax number.

  17. Hi Tommy, Yes, today was my first fill and it didn't hurt at all. Was so easy, just held my breath and pushed my stomach out. They put 4 ccs in and now I am on liquid for two days. Total of 20 lbs lost in 4 weeks. Have been walking 3 to 5 miles a day for at least 3 times a week after work in the evenings which is great because it's cooler then. The puppy likes the walk too and everyone that sees her comes over to chat. Really love to socialize.

Will not be long before you are losing that weight and getting fit. How are you doing with the eating plan?

  18. It was so easy to get the fill. All I did was lay on the table, hold my breath and push out my stomach. The doctor's assistant held onto the port after cleaning it and then there was a tiny pinch and then she filled the band. Some air came out because it was the first time filling it. She put in 4cc's and the band holds up to 14cc's. Have to drink fluid for two days then regular from there. Total of 20lbs lost in a month and have another appointment with the doctor in 4 weeks.

Seen the nutritionist after the fill and she said I should continue eating protein first and then healthy carbs like veggies and fruit.

Been walking the canal five miles with my girlfriend and three miles with my hubby.

Making changes and feeling better every day!

Hope everyone is doing well and getting into shape.

  19. Sorry to hear about your hunger issues. Maybe you need more protein?

  20. We had our surgery on the same day! That is awesome to have someone on this journey right at the same time!

Hope your lap band does everything you hoped and more!

I have felt restriction and when I forget to not drink with my meal I feel pain in my left side under my rib cage. How about you any trouble eating?

  21. They said we could have broth isn't that just yummy!

Remember no caffeine! No soda! nothing that has yeast or expands in your stomach.

No drinking with your meals. It's not going to be easy but it's helps reduce the liver so the surgeon can see better!

If you want, I can fax you over the info or mail it to you!

send me a private email if you want me to do that for you!

As for me, I lost 20 lbs and it hasn't been a month until Aug 7th. Having my first fill on Aug 10 so everything is going well!

    Thank you

  22. Have you thought about drinking the protein drinks twice a day to prepare yourself for the band? My surgeon suggested I do that and you will lose weight doing it too.

  23. Remember it's not about the weight loss it's about changes for a better healthier life. Focus on that and the rest will happen.

Good luck with your fill, let me know how much and how you are doing with it.

  24. Yea, I am having the fill on Aug 10 which isn't even 6 weeks but I am happy because I am need to feel full and haven't yet. Funny thing is I am not hungry either.

We need to be patient though and focus on eating healthy in small amounts and get our exercise in too. It's not just about the weight loss it's about making changes that will last to improve our lives.

    Good luck

  25. Every thing is awesome! Gone down a size and I haven't even had my fill yet! Wild and wonderful
