That's a good question; one I have been pondering myself. I am 3 weeks post op and am scheduled for my 1st fill on the 6th of July. When I saw the nurse this past Monday, I explained that I am able to eat about 3 cups of food in one sitting (no drinking 30 min before or 30 min after) I am losing, but I told her I thought I was only suppose to be able to eat no more than 1 1/2 cups. She said that on the 6th she was going to give me the maximum fill. What exactly does that mean? Anybody?

Hang in there! I too was on the liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery, it was so awful and I feel your pain. I was banded on the 24th of May. To make matters worse, my surgery was scheduled for 2:30 PM and that was pushed back to 5:30 and I eventually got into surgery at 7:00 PM. I had nothing to eat or drink since midnight the night before. OMG, was I cranky. I made it through it all and I know you can too. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You can do it!!
