just saw your stats on a post... you've lost a ton since august when we both had the surgery... mind sharing what you're doing so well??? I could really use a boost.... :-)

I have my post op in 2 hours! Having trouble with 2 of my 5 incisions- hope it's not infected. one side of each was open over the weekend, I put band aids on and cleaned, but my skin is pissed from the bandaids and skin has come off with them. really hurts. can't wait to eat mushy foods!!!! NEvER thought I'd say that as I'm a texture person...

yes, still sore. Having a hard time getting comfortable at night, and ache a lot when I wake up. But I am only taking tylenol a couple times a day at this point. Walked around Walmart the other day and it wiped me out! I'm doing ok with most things on my own, but doing dishes is a bad position and I can only stand at the sink for a few minutes... poor kids!! it's good for them to do dishes, although they act like it's child abuse. :-P

Going well here! Today is the first day I don't feel really bad. I'm actually hungry today and cursing my 2 liquid weeks post op as I have 1 more week to go!!!! I ate pudding too fast the other day and it HURT. I hope I remember that pain. 2 of my steri-strips came off today after my shower. Others are still on. I'm still trying to get all of the sticky off of me too... I keep finding it.
how are you doing with liquids? I'm not anywhere near 64 ounces a day yet- I'm having all I can do to get in 2 protein shakes! Then a pudding or two (i made instant sugar free pudding with skim milk and unflavored protein powder so 1/4 c has about 10 g protein) and a popsicle and it's about all I can fit into a day. I do need to drink more.
Have been avoiding the scale as so many people were bummed they gained during this time... but I stepped on it today and I'm down 9 since surgery day! woohoo! I'm sure mushies will put a couple back on though...

hahahaha, I love it!! My fiancee thought I was ridiculous for needing a new hospital outfit. "Nobody cares what you wear to the hospital"... boys don't get it. I care what I wear. I'm going to be uncomfortable and I want something new to enjoy!!!
