    I have to tell!

Thanks for sharing! You will do great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Self pay in Mexico is always an option! My lapband was covered by insurance due to comorbities but when my band had complications 6 yrs later I did not have insurance. Sleeve revision in Mexico saved me! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. PorkChopExpress, I have a new gym opening in my area soon and will definitely look into weight training in addition to getting cardio back on track. Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Crybaby... I feel for you. We are in the same boat. I just can't lose with the sleeve. I lost 42 pounds in 8 months with my revision to sleeve. During the past 12 months I have wavered bw 175-185....which is the longest I have stayed that low in my adult life. I feel ok but I just do not understand why I cannot lose more. I live in fear bc my scale bounces up and down... each time creeping a pound or two higher then back down. So scared I will be 230-260 again. I am trying to go back to Protein and Water goals which even though I can't eat large volumes I have not been meeting those goals lately. Stress is a BIG factor! Don't give up.... we did all of this for a reason. Keep in touch! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Not my best self lately...

I am weighing in at 186 this morning and it is near my lowest sustained adult weight and yet I feel like a FAT failure. I am 18 months post op from band to sleeve revision and I was supposed to weigh 135 pounds (in my mind) by now. Instead? I got down to 169 pounds around month eight but could not sustain. Have mainly hovered at 182 for the past year but this past month I have been up and down from 185-192 pounds. I started a reset today and really need to get myself back on track. I need to get to goal! I am worth it!
  7. I am 17 months post op band to sleeve revision. I reached my lowest weight of 169 at month 8 I think. But I would move 3-5 lbs up and down. I sat at 180 for a good 4 months but this past month I am up 5 more pounds. Reading these posts is inspiring. I am doing a full reset starting now! I was never at goal let alone going back to fat! This final 35-40 pounds needs to get and stay gone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hello! I had band-to-sleeve revision and just to have the band out of my body was amazing. I felt great about the decision. I knew the band needed to come out but was worried I would re-gain. I did okay with the band... but still had more to lose. I weighed 211 on the revision surgery day. At the six month mark I weighed 169, which was my lowest adult weight ever. I still wanted to lose 25 pounds more... instead, the scales have been creeping back up. I weigh 189 and I am not unhappy overall but so scared I will be 250 again if I am not diligent. I do think our bodies are different the 2nd time around. Still gonna keep trying and re-evaluating. I did get lazy after 7-8 months, I had a long stall and talked myself into believing that 169 was my "normal". But, old habits and getting comfortable did not serve me well. Stay focused!
  9. Hello! I had Lapband in Dec 2009. HW 250? Got down to 199 at lowest.. Like many, I had success at first but then the complications set in. In April 2015 I had the revision to sleeve, primarily to just get the band out of me and not re-gain a bunch of weight. On revision surgery day I weighed 211 pounds. By October 2015 (6 months) I weighed 169 and felt GREAT... my lowest adult weight ever. I wanted to lose 25-30 more (I am 5'3"). Over the past year the weight has slowly crept back.... I weigh 189 today. I am going back to the basics.... Protein, Water and walking. My roommate and I had the sleeve on the same date. She had never had a weight loss surgery. We were the same height and she was about 10lbs heavier than me. She weighs 145 and looks amazing. We cook and eat the same things.... she is constantly snacking. I definitely think the second time around our bodies are holding tighter to the fat!! Best wishes. Just stay positive. At the end of the day, I am happy with my weight loss.... maintaining is hard and I live in fear of regaining to 250. I will be watching to see your success!!

    3-month update

Yesterday marked 3 months since my band-to-sleeve revision. I feel good! I have lost 32lbs so far. I am starting to do some jogging on my walks and am determined to be a runner someday. I just think runners seem so free and I love that idea! My weight loss has not been easy.... slow and stall prone. I re-evaluate every day. I use Fitbit and myFitnessPal which have been helpful. Today, I was I reviewing my food journal and noticed that my carbs are too high. I am not a huge meat eater so my protein choices are typically cheese, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, beans and protein shakes. I posted on the forum today requesting ideas for better protein options and plan on shopping this evening!
  11. I have noticed lately that my carb count is high even when I try to make wise Protein choices. My diet consists of Protein shakes, greek yogurt and cottage cheese. I need to move away from these, at least in part. I am not good at cooking... I hate it. I am on a mission this evening to shop for quick go-to protein items that are low in carbs. As a band-to-sleeve revision, my weight loss is much slower than my roommates (went to Mexico on same date). Also, I have hypothyroidism and I just want to ensure success! I am down 32lbs in 3 months and have 45 to go to goal. Suggestions please!!

    Stall nine weeks out

Hey!! I am an April 27th date too! I was a band to sleeve revision and my roommate and I went to Mexico on the same date. She is losing faster than I am but from what I have read on forums that is standard. I am very happy with where I am. I had a long stall too, and I didn't change anything... just stayed the course. My scale is slowly moving again... but honestly even when the scale didn't show it, I could feel the progress in the way my clothes fit and my ability to cross legs, paint my toes, etc, We got this!!

    Goal?

There are lots of apps that will tell you your ideal weight based on height and frame. I am 5'3" and medium frame. I want a BMI of 25 or lower, which is considered healthy. For me that is bw 126-135 lbs. My lowest adult weight was 172 and I am within 10 lbs of that today, so anything lower is a bonus to me! But goals are important for motivation and ultimately celebration!
