Well hey!! Glad to hear you are feeling good!! I have had zero shoulder pain, thank God. But---I have been walking a good bit so maybe that helped with the gas, etc...I dunno. But today is better---seems each day I take a step forward. So yay!! You've had some major weight loss, girl!! Good for you!! I'm holding steady at 24-----this post-op liquid diet is for the birds. But I know it's necessary----I tried to eat something and it was NOT comfortable. So I better just keep on with my liquids and wait until I'm ready for food. I have 5 places across my belly. Almost in a straight line, My port site is mucho tender but yesterday the doctor said it's normal. Today is the first day I have really felt good. I am so glad cause it was rough there for a while!! I got back to the doctor is 5 weeks to talk about a fill. Guess we'll see what happens!!

Anyhooo-- all is well with me. Going for my post-op appointment today!! Will try to do better about posting! Hope you have a great day!!

Hey girl...Well, I'm hanging in there...The surgery was a breeze----now I'm just sore and swollen up like a Christmas goose! <> But it will pass. I hope you hear some good news soon!!!

Robyn!!!!!!!!!!!! How are YOU??? I am good---sore but otherwise good. How did it go for you??
-
Thanks for the well wishes, ladies...I made it through surgery just fine----today is day 3 afterwards and JEEZ----talk about sore!! But I'm hoping that soon the pain and swelling will start to diminish and THEN perhaps I will be a happy camper!!

Whoo hoo!!! 1 more day, girl!! Do you think you have lost anything ont he pre-op diet?? Doesn't it suck? Sheesh---I'm so over soup it isn't even funny! Oh well---just part of the process I guess. Anyhoo---tomorrow we'll be BANDSTERS!! How fabulous!!!! Good luck to you!! Don't be scared---it's gonna be a piece o' cake!!

Hey Robyn...
So he couldn't feel your liver? That is weird--your liver is a mighty big organ for him to not be able to feel it. Maybe he just didn't feel in the right place or---maybe it has shrunk and is just so small and fabulous he doesn't have top worry about it being in the way! :-) <> Try not to worry and just keep on with the diet---those 8 lbs will fall off. Do you exercise? I've started walking my driveway and I'm surprised at how much every little bit helps!!! You're gonna do great!

You would be surprised!! Plus--skim milk tastes like water anyway! :-) And no--I am not too nervous. I have never been put to sleep before so of course I am a little bit wary but---I'm not losing sleep over it or chewing my nails down to nubs. I see it as just a bump in the road I have to get over sooooooooo---I'm sucking it up and just doing it. No need to let it get to me or worry about it---nothing I can do about it anyways. So you don't worry about it anymore than you have to. It's all gonna be fine!! For BOTH of us!! Yee haw!!

Hey again! The protein shake I found is REALLY good. When I get home this evening I will see what the brand name is and let you know. I mix 2 scoops with 1 1/2 cups of skim milk and maybe 1/2 a tsp of sugar free waffle syrup---girl, it tastes JUST like the milk left in the bowl after you've eaten some cereal!! I could drink it all day!! Maybe it would work for you. I got it at a place called Vitamin World.

Hi Robyn!! So, we're set for surgery on the same day?? How fabulous!! The liquid diet is very challenging but today is day 3 and I'm down 8lbs!! Heck, that's blowing my mind so it motivates me to keep with it!! Keep me posted with your progress!! :-) And good luck!

The 29th? How fabulous! Good for you!! Yes, I am on a pre-op diet and I hate it. <> Liquids for 14 days! YIKES!! I have a good protein supplement and I am following the rules---it's not so hard to do...I just miss CHEWING! LOL I have found that I have zero energy at the end of the day. When I get home from work and have my 'dinner,' all I want to do is sit on the couch and go to bed early. I hope it gets better---I've been reading where people say the first 4 days are the roughest. How about you? Do you have to do liquids or just high protein?

Hi there. Thanks for the add. While I would give my 2 front teeth to be at 236lbs----I really DO understand why you are frustrated and why you want to lose the weight. I was at that weight at one time and while I was in a size 14, all I wanted was to be in a size 10! LOL It seems so unfair for a doctor to mandate a decision about your health based on a stupid BMI number. But alas----such is life, eh? Anyhoo----hope your next appointment goes in your favor and that you qualify for the surgery. Keep me posted!
