  1. I'm just starting to look into bariatric surgery. I'm the mother of 4 and I'm 39. I have gone up and down in my weight my entire life but I have been obese for at least 12 years and BMI <40 for about 2 years. I'm 5'2 and weigh 235 lbs. My goal is 135. I suffer from Sleep Apnea, Depression and Plantar Fascitis which are results of my weight. I'm very scared because I'm a food addict and I'm not sure how I will deal with this process. My primary doctor and surgeon recommend gastric bypass over lap band but I don't think I want to have such an invasive surgery. At the same I want to succeed. I'm reading and talking to as many people as i can to make the best decision for me. I hope this site will help.:scared2:
