Hey Kathy, I had surgery in July and have lost almost 75 pounds so far . .. I was also very concerned about saggy skin - I do not want another surgery to correct cosmetic issues . . I have a LOT of allergies to antibiotics and have had some bad reactions, so just don't want to risk it. I have been walking, walking, walking a lot. At first I could only walk 1/4 mile, now I can walk 2 or more miles. I walk every night and my skin is tightening up as I lose weight. I am still concerned about BOB (my Big Old Belly), and I don't know if that will shrink enough or not, but so far so good. Good luck!

When I click on "leave comment" and type in my comment and then hit "post" or if I hit "reply" or anything else - NOTHING happens - arghhh - frustrating! Thanks for your help bandsters :-)

Third fill today and so far so good. Liquids only today and tomorrow and soft foods on Sunday. My doc is pretty conservative and I like that. He does his fills under x-ray, so can tell when it's tight enough. I am now at 6 cc in a 10 cc band. Again, liquids only today and they are going down just fine. I'm hoping to feel less hungry between meals. Have a great day all!

Well . . almost 6 months since my surgery, but it has been 6 months since I started the pre-op diet on July 1st and I've lost 70 pounds. I love my band (which I've named J. Giels - the J. Giels Band). I hope you are all doing well . . . where are all my "old" band buddies? We've lost each other on this new site design.

Hi Bklynike, I'm here . . just having trouble following my buddies these days (not a fan of this new look for our site). Thanks for sharing your story. You are a beacon of light that so many look to. You are doing fantastic! GOOD for you!!

I don't have to take the fish oil anymore, but my pharmacist told me (before surgery) that if I needed to still take it, I could open up the pills, but I didn't want to do that. I went to GNC and they have a liquid Omega-3 that isn't too bad. Good luck!

Good for you Shonette - I hope this adjustment gets it right and allows you to eat what you know you need to eat. You're doing great!
