  3. hi pam, everyone is different and what works for me might not work for you. As a nurse i see where u coming from with being tired after work all i want to do is take a bath and go to bed. I work 12 hrs shifts so when i work i do not work out but the days that im off i hit the gym. Do you have a gym memebership? the band alone is not going to workout if u dont excersice believe me i been there! start by walking 30 min a day and do light wts with time u can increase your intensity and time. right now im doing a lot of cardio and wts to tone up. Drink a lot of water i drink 3 to 4 32 oz bottles a day and dont forget ur protein and vitamins. it takes a lot of patience to get there but YOU CAN DO IT!!!! my main motivation are my kids! but when u can wear things that u were not able to before it feels sooo good! also looking at other people who had success with the band is a motivation

Hi Pam! well for me i had a goal in my head. i knew where i wanted to be and i kept telling myself that i didnt go through all of this for nothing. we all have struggles as i am having right now myself but i still keep thinking about my goal. i dont want to feel like a failure. i have not been exercising like i should either and i have hit a plateau but you cant give up. i have not given up on my band because i would not be where i am today without it. so dont get comfortable with it you have to find a way to make it work for you. stay on this site looking at before and after pics...that's one thing that ALWAYS motivates me. get your mind set that you are going to do what you know you should be doing to lose the weight.

    Thanks for ur response. I am new to the site. Newly banded 2/15/2010 , so I thought I might have a few things in common with you. I admire your success and can't wait til the ball is rolling with me. I have not lost much since the band probably my fault because I have not started exercising yet. What gets you motivated? I am so tired at tired at the end of the day and don't feel much like doing anything in the mornings either :-(....I know the weight is a huge part of that but just can't seem to kick this off. Any suggestions? I am hoping to get some tips from those who have been where I am.
