Down 80 lbs Post-op With before and after pics
Wow so stinking awesome. You look so different and so much younger!

Sorry my first post is a cry for help
I agree that it is entirely from the surgery. You would have had to consume somewhere around 15000 extra calories since removal of your gall bladder...I hardly think with your sleeve that is possible. It is one of those side effects of surgery fluids etc. Just focus on recovering from this other surgery and continue eating your protein and getting your fluids. It will drop off there before you know it. Don't be caught up in those pounds, though I know it is hard to see them on the scale. Just think logically and you will realize it isn't a true gain. Don't be sorry about your first post being a cry for help. We welcome you and congrats on your success thus far and welcome to the site!

Anybody know how to set my default font/color crap?

Cost of vertical sleeve
LOL your earlier post says 350,000. I think it was the typo that made her inquire on what the heck was going on for that to be the amount of the bill. :tongue_smilie:

Weight Watchers after the sleeve

I need to hurry and get back to work bc I have too much time on my hands!
Please make sure to include shot size drinks. I just need a few sips of my favorite drink with my food. I feel horrible ordering one that I take 3 sips of and leaving the rest.

Sunday Praise and Worship 10-3
I love that song! My motivating song is ...Aaron Shust My Savior My God. I am not skilled to understand What God has willed, what God has planned I only know at His right hand Stands one who is my Savior I take Him at His word and deed Christ died to save me; this I read And in my heart I find a need Of Him to be my savior That He would leave His place on high And come for sinful man to die You count it strange, so once did I Before I knew my Savior My Savior loves, My Savior lives My Savior's always there for me My God: He was, my God; He is My God is always gonna be

Cost of vertical sleeve
I paid 6.5k in August in TJ Mexico. That included 2 nights at facility and 2 nights post op in a hotel that connected to facility.

Pork Barbacoa (Like Chipolte)
That looks DELICIOUS! I am going to have to try that one day this week. Could a person use chicken instead? If so what cut of chicken should I get?

VSG in May 2009 -- not happy with myself
Shannon, I am really sorry that this has not been the answer for you. It sounds like you are well aware of what you need to do but just can't get it done. I really hope you find the strength to start slowly and drop the things that are making you feel worse, like the coffee drinking (that is the worst for the reflux), the bad carbs that are keeping you craving more and more. It also sounds like you are doing all the things one would suggest for you to do, like seeing a therapist etc. I think you might benefit from trying to start back at the Clear liquids stage and cleanse yourself and start over. I know there is no easy answer but you are going to have to pull up the bootstraps and use this as a tool. You lost a good amount and you can continue to lose more. Wouldn't that be a wonderful testimony for yourself and the sleeve for you to turn this around for youself! You can do it! Now that you have pushed yourself is your stomach stretched out or are you still just grazing and eating too much?

Kaiser and Plastic Surgery Options
So MB20, can you pay the difference in the cost of the pan and the tummy tuck?

Advice from anyone please.
Well you two it took me a bit to google and translate kilos into pounds lol, but I think I got the gist of the weight gains and losses. Like Chilo said there are many band to sleeve revisions on this site and they will be able to give you the low down on that idea. I was just curious though, I heard the port and metal on the bands were titanium like the staples used for the sleeve. If this is so you may need to go with a physician that uses threaded sutures and glue vs the staples if this is possible or maybe go with the gastric plication which is not excising the stomach only folding it within itself and suturing it up, to avoid the titanium. Hmmm

Lap Band removed after 1 month-HELP!
Ya I agree with Peatie maybe they will just call it a wash and do the sleeve instead? By-the-way Jami, I love the spelling of your name...mine is spelled the same way!

Anybody watch dr phil today!?
That game alone will help you gain a ton of weight! Plus it is probably a lot more satisfying for you to date in real life then to have your undead mage dating a hotty tauren hunter in game huh? LOL

~*~ WORKOUT Challenges and Chat Thread ~*~
My cousin is a personal trainer at our best local gym and she does the bootcamps there! My aunt (her mother) just asked me to be her workout partner so I will start next week doing 3 days of boot camp, 1 day of the cycling class which she also teaches and on Thursdays we all leave the gym and meet in the foothills to run this 6 mile steep paved road. It kicks our butts, but it feels so awesome after. I can't wait to get off the treadmill I have been using 4 days a week and into a program. I guess I am lucky that I have such an active family. My mom runs marathons at the age of 55, my cousin is a trainer, my aunt works at the gym and trains there also, my other cousin is training for half marathon with my mom and so anytime I am inclined to want to go run or workout there is always someone ready, willing and encouraging. Part of the reason it was so hard for me to be the chunky one in the family too though I suppose...lol:thumbup:

After crying in my beef burrito, I'am back.
I would say first thing to try is the appeal. The consider your other options. I am sorry that you are having these issues with the insurance. I was sort of in same boat. I did not even attempt with the insurance because of my lower BMI and lack of comorbities.
-
Did you get insurance to pay???
I think each individual policy is different. I have BCBS of California and my husbands employer included bariatric coverage. Someone else can have BCBS of California and their employer may have chosen to NOT cover that, so it will depend on the policy not necessarily the carrier.

I'm offically sleeved
Glad you are doing so well and congrats on your weight loss thus far!
