  1. I was wearing panties. Who knows if they removed them during surgery, but they were on when I woke up! Thankfully they gave me valium in the pre-op room, so I was totally out when they wheeled me into the OR. My hubby got to be w/ me when they gave me the valium so he was the last thing I saw before I woke up! If they stripped me naked, I would never know
  2. I love that dress!!! You look gorgeous
  3. Gotta say I agree with you. What the doc did was pretty crappy, but the blame doesn't fall solely on him. I think it's great that the OP put this thread up, though, to warn others he might be on the prowl.
  4. Guess in a year or so I might be takin' a trip to the boob store
  5. BTW the piercings are very nice. Feel free to post more pics. I won't complain!
  6. I think that's eventually going to be my approach, once I'm further down the line.
  7. Yeah, I had that feeling too. Kind of like it was a lump sitting there. The feeling goes away eventually, but right now your little tummy is still swollen and food doesn't always make it happy. Keep eating the things that work for you, and try your chicken again in a week. You're probably just not ready for it yet.
  8. I think the most important thing is to just stay the course. Our bodies sometimes like to be stubborn, and we have to be patient with them. The weight will come off eventually...just maybe not at the rate you want it to. All our bodies are different and react to a low calorie diet in different ways. I have to tell myself that this is a life-long commitment I've made, not some crash diet.
  9. Your before looks pretty much exactly like me, so now I'm really hoping I end up looking like your "after"!!!
  10. I just tried really really hard not to think about it. I knew I was making a good decision for myself and my health, so I basically had to push it out of my mind so that I wouldn't argue with myself!
  11. Darn that peanut butter! I know it's right at the top of most terrorists' lists of things to take on a plane...haha
  12. I'm a little over 4 weeks and my tummy only recently started not feeling that way when I ate. You probably have a touch of gastritis (inflammation). My surgeon recommended 40 mg Prilosec and Pepto 2x per day. Helped a lot.
  13. I'm just telling people that I'm doing high protein low carb. I lost a bunch of weight in the past with Medifast, so it's not suspicious
  14. Girl, those stomach bugs are the worst! I had it this winter and was sitting on the toilet while I was holding a plastic bag and puking into it. Absolutely horrifying.
  15. Makes me realize how much I hope I don't lose my boobs. hehe
  16. You have to go to "Invite Friends by Email". You can type a username instead of email.
  17. If you feel fine, you're probably fine.
  18. Pepto Bismol and Prilosec helped me immensely!
  19. I think it's disgusting for doctors to lie just to sell more product. They're not supposed to be salespeople.
  20. When I used to complain to my mom about being fat as a teen (I wasn't fat...at all!) she'd say things like "Well cut the feedbag then!" Her lack of support only encouraged my unhealthy dieting and food obsession that got me where I Am today. If I ever have kids, I vow never to do that to them.
  21. He sounds EXACTLY like my husband! We still don't really discuss my sleeve. Basically I just get my support from friends and this forum. For whatever reason the surgery is a sensitive topic so hubby and I just rarely discuss it (as much as I wish he was my biggest cheerleader!)
  22. I'm an apple right now. We'll see what I am under all the fat!
