  1. I find it amazing how differently people heal! I'm at about a month out, and still the mere thought of most foods makes me woozy and a little barfy. haha
  2. If your urine is dark, you're dehydrated. As much as I know you don't want to hear it (I hate getting my water in, too!)--up your fluid intake
  3. As delicious as those look, I think we all know how beer cheese ends up after my dumping syndrome thread. haha
  4. Sleevers definitely can have dumping syndrome. See my thread in "General" discussion re: my latest experience! haha
  5. Some people don't bring it up because of the chance you might be losing weight due to illness. They don't want to bring it up if it's a sensitive subject.
  6. I had Premier Chocolate today, too! It's quite yummy
  7. If I were you, I think I'd go to the passport office to guarantee it gets done!
  8. True, but so many of those products are dyed, waxed, genetically modified, or otherwise ruined in an attempt to appeal to the customer
  9. Well, for your smoothies you could use silken tofu instead of the milk/yogurt. That's one idea
  10. Honestly, I'm beginning to think I *should* invest in a tarp to keep in the car. If I hadn't been so close to home, I probably would have needed it!!
  11. And this is why I don't have kids...apparently I'd be feeding them beer cheese soup and lemonade. haha
  12. Based on the number of other folks that are willing to share their stories on this thread, I'm guessing my experience is not very uncommon!! hehe
  13. Isn't it amazing to think how much excess weight you were actually carrying around? I picked up a 40 pound bag of cat litter yesterday and could hardly hoist it, then realize I still have about 2.5 cat litters left to go on my weight loss...
  14. Holy cow, girl, you were hiding some adorable dimples!
  15. That makes it so much harder, doesn't it? I remember having a psychologist I really didn't like, and I found myself almost trying to defy her with the things I did. Is there any way you could switch nutritionists?
  16. Bathroom habits in the first week can be quite unpleasant, if that's what you mean
  17. Your doc may think for the short duration that antidepressants can help you get through the emotions you're feeling. I definitely second the notion of going for walks and getting out and about when you're feeling down. Endorphins released from walking can really help!
  18. My surgeon gave me a video of my procedure. Imagine all the fun we'll be having at future holidays and family reunions!
