  1. No drain here, and my surgery was also outpatient.
  2. I'm Hathery on MFP, if you wanna add me
  3. I gotta say I disagree with this part. Sometimes a man or a woman just wants the release without having to involve another person. I don't think the OP was trying to HIDE it from her husband; she just doesn't want to put on a show for him.
  4. I suppose you could have some yeast or something growing in there??
  5. I had this happen at 3 weeks. I went up a pound, then all at once lost 7. I figure there has to be some explanation for it. This makes the most sense of theories I've read so far!
  6. I can't wait until my collarbone decides to make an appearance again!
  7. They really need to come up with some better surgical tape. I swear most of us get a reaction! I know I did. ITCHY!!
  8. I had been researching why you can stall and then suddenly lose a bunch of weight in a matter of a day, and I encountered a lot of talk of the "Whoosh Effect." Here is an interesting article about it: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html It makes sense! What do you think?
  9. My abdomen was super swollen for about a week at about 2 weeks out. I never went to the doctor to find out why, but for me I think it was a combination of retained fluid and constipation
  10. That sounds like a good "regular" diet, but not a good WLS diet.
  11. My problem with compliments on weight loss is that they always seem to provoke a barrage of follow-up questions I have no desire whatsoever to answer.
  12. For gosh sake, have they never heard of a freaking period before? I'd be going postal.
  13. Is a heating pad ok? I could have sworn I wasn't supposed to use one right away, but then again I may have pulled that out of you-know-where
  14. Bummer she couldn't get her sleeve today! But im glad she'll go into surgery healthy instead of risking a potentially dangerous surgery.
  15. I must say, that is a lovely neck. Watch out for vampires!
  16. Every day during the work day I eat a Greek yogurt, 2 string cheese, and a Protein shake. And of course the heathen water! For dinner I eat cottage cheese, Soup, chili, tofu, etc.
  17. Best of luck to you no matter what happens!
  18. I moved the scale to hubby's bathroom. Now it's a chore to remember to weigh once a week
  19. Well they say that the pill isn't as effective while you're still losing after VSG, so maybe the test is right
  20. I'm only a month out, but it hasn't cured my addiction. I still find myself obsessively craving certain foods. The difference is, when I allow myself to have it it's not satisfying. And I usually don't want it again. It's never as good in reality as it is in your head!
  21. My pants almost fell off in the hall at work last week, yet I'm still too scared to try on any of the smaller sizes in my closet. haha
