I'm 2 weeks post op. I've had a few issues with getting a bad rash and 2 incisions getting infected. Well, 1 incision came open Sunday. Saw the nurse today and she said keep steri strips on it. She wants me to come back tomorrow to see my dr though. She said she wants him to look at the swelling in my abdomen. She said its probably fluid buildup and it will correct itself but wants my dr to check it out. Anyone else have this issue? What was the outcome?

My abdomen was super swollen for about a week at about 2 weeks out. I never went to the doctor to find out why, but for me I think it was a combination of retained fluid and constipation

Thanks y'all. It's right above my belly button where the soreness and swelling is. The rash was actually an allergic reaction from the surgical tape. That was miserable, glad that part is gone, but mow this. I'm ready to be normal.

They really need to come up with some better surgical tape. I swear most of us get a reaction! I know I did. ITCHY!!
