  1. I would have to say that your food is getting stuck. most likely u aren't chewing it enough or eating things you shouldn't be eating such as bread!!! Don't feel bad cuz I am just as guilty! Just remember to chew chew and chew! Good luck!
  2. I'm a beer drinker too and I think this is the hardest thing to change! I have changed over to wine and I find myself drinking less just because I don't like the flavor as much as beer. This past summer I was a bad girl and drank a lot of beer and it caught up to me. I gained 10 lbs and since I switched to wine I have lost 9 of the 10lbs. So I guess I would suggest staying far away from beer as possible!
  3. just went to the dr today and weighed in at 199lbs. OUCH! got a little fill and I am ready to go! good luck to all!
  4. I don't have an answer for you but did you know something was wrong before you went in or did the Dr tell you. Was just curious because my last fill didn't work and I actually have gained about 15 lbs back. I go in next Monday so hopefully I will get some answers. I will be sure to follow this post to see what other people have to say and to see how you are doing. good luck!
  5. I have to agree with pipp. For an example,if my leg broke and then 3 years later I broke it in the same spot would I go have it repaired??? Sounds like a dumb question doesn't it? Things happen but that doesn't mean it is gonna happen to everyone. Being over weight is a health issue or can become one so if something is broke I say go ahead and fix it! lots of luck to you pipp and I am proud of you for not giving up on the lap band!
  6. well don't feel bad, I have 2 names cuz I haven't been on for so long that I forgot my name and password! so now I am Brathman and Brathman10!!! Guess thats what I get for leaving you guys! It is a new year and I will make sure I don't leave you guys again cuz it really helps having this site as a support group! Glad to be back.
  7. I wasn't ashamed to tell anyone. I personaly think that we are strong for doing this!Look at what we all have to give up..... soda, coffee, BEER(LOL), corn, peanuts, popcorn, pasta, the list goes on! People may think this is easy but it isn't. Lets just say that this is much better for us than the yo yo diets and diet pills! I was banded May 3rd 2010 and have lost 10 lbs so far. SO I say put your head up high and be proud you are strong enough to do something about your weight!!! Good Luck!
  8. Hello, my name is Becky and I too am waiting to have the surgery. I am expecting to have it within a month. I'm very excited but a little nervous about the big change. So.... maybe we can do this thing together? Good luck!
