  1. Good luck! I too hope the time flies by....6 months seems like so long, but I have been heavy for many years, so being thin will be worth the wait for sure!
  2. I too am just beginning this journey...and I too have HBP and high cholesterol. I was not always big, but gained weight with each of my 3 kids, and didn't lose it in between. I am going to be 38 in May, and am tired of being heavy. I am at 230 now, my heaviest. I am also have arthritis problems, and am going to an internist today. This is partly from being over weight I think...my joints ACHE. Good luck to you, and I hope to hear about your journey as you go through the steps!
  3. Thanks for all the positive replys! I am sooo excited to be beginning this journey! Good luck to you all as well....keep posting...can't wait to hear how everyone is doing!
  4. I am just now starting the whole process. I am told that my 6 months will start with my first visit to the dietician after seeing the surgeon. I told them i have been seeing a dietician already, but apparently it doesn't count until I have seen the surgeon. I am from Maine, by the way...any other Mainers on here? Good luck everyone! I am excited to get started on this journey!
