  2. Congrats! Thats my goal weight too. What size are you now? if you dont mind my asking. Ive been wondering what clothes size I would be at goal. Since we are about the same height and you are at that glorious goal...I must ask.
  3. As much as I love Oprah, she is a real jerk when it comes to WLS.
  4. Hey ladies! Ive been working really hard this last week to get back on track and...the scale is moving! Im down 6lbs from last week! SOO: ChocolateSnaps Starting weight: 293 Current Weight: 286 DOWN So Far:7lbs LBS TO GO: 7 lbs Welcome Bekiboo and Carol!
  5. My gym has a curves type circuit. Im going to try it tonight. Im gonna go kick my butt there. However, Im also tacking it onto my everyday workout 30-45 on the elliptical. Maybe you could try the same thing. Also there is no rule (I dont think) that says you can only do 30 mins of the circuit. I thought part of its awesomeness was that it is customizable. You could add another half of the circuit to your current workout. Dibaby is right, if it is working for you and you are still losing weight keep on keeping on.
  6. I had the same problem. Im jump starting the weightloss with the NoCarb challenge. I havent been doing too well at it though but Im working on it. I also stepped up my exercise. So far Im down a pound in 2 days. I think Im back on track.
  7. I gave some away, donated some and sold most on CraigsList.
  8. Since banding, for me every month is something new.
  9. I used the gasX tabs. They work almost instantly. I went through quite a bit of them. I took them two at a time.
  10. I think Id die without any veggies or fruit anythings for 2 weeks. But I do like the idea of mini and concurrent challenges. In fact after the no carb challenge Im going Veggie until Feb 19th. The only reason its not vegan is because of Bandster Protein needs and I couldnt live without eggs. How this came about: Thursday I was at the Union Square Whole Foods Market Cafe enjoying a yummy crab nori roll where I met this NYU Prof who challenged me and my friend to become Veggies for 3 weeks. Its a pretty long story how the conversation started and progressed but I was convinced I should try it and that he wasnt a lecturing me on being fat and eating right. I already eat only poultry and fish plus Im lactose intolerant (with a few exceptions) so I figured I was halfway there.
  11. Im going for 242 by June 08. Thats an even 50lbs. 292........242.........292.......50lbs
  12. Im on my second fill. I have 7ccs and very little restriction. Im thinking about scheduling a small fill for the end of Feb depending on my weight loss.
  13. Im starting the 2 day challenge on Monday. Anyone care to join me?
  14. Thanks for the peptalk I really need it right now. I think I may try the no carb challenge as a jump start. My prob isnt really bread and stuff its Cookies and cakes. We've had both here this week, and I did partake. Cookies are my absolute enemy. chocolate snaps is the name of one of my favorite cookies. It was also that TOM during which the cravings get horrible and I slacked on the exercise. It also takes way more than a 1/2 cup to satisfy me esp at night. I really want to fight it out before I call for a fill. I want to have the bad eating under control before I get a fill and stretch my pouch, or PB (never have), or erode. Its the head work. Its hard but Im up to the fight. Just typing this has made me realize how much work I havent done this week. Like I said before Im back on plan right now. Thanx ladies!
  15. I have a pair of Nicole Miller Peeptoes that are begging to be worn.
  16. I havent lost an once yet. Ive been weighing every day, some time several times. I promised I would do that. Wow you guys are tight, Im starting to think I need a fill, Im at 7ccs of 10 so Im starting to get worried. Im getting back on track today!
  17. Im down a bra size! Im almost back in my Vickies!
  18. Im staying on plan today because I am going to lose at least 14lbs by Valentine's Day.
  19. Which part is your biggest problem? Bottoms or tops? Since you are going to Old Navy, one of the best things they have ever done was to start making different rises. The jeans that look best on everyone are the dark denim classic rise "Sweetheart" and the dark denim mid rise "Sweetheart". Pair those with a wrap-top (NewportNews has a nice 3/4 length tee version) in your favorite color and that makes a KILLER casual look. *The wrap camouflages the belly and accentuates the bust and curvy waist. The mid/classic rise holds in the belly. I agree with having a tailored look. Too tight is just as bad as too loose. If you cant tell, Im a serious clothes-whore. One of my fav hobbies is styling people. It came from living vicariously through skinny friends and relatives and being a hopeless perfectionist.
  20. I think it depends on how you want to look, in so far as style. But the best thing for "deflated" is a really good shaping undergarment. They make all the difference in how clothes fit and how you look in them. Always keep in mind your body shape. If you dont know Igig.com has a really good group of shapes to figure out from. Im a figure 8. For batwings, I would go with 3/4 length sleeves. I would NEVER suggest any kind of shrug, I think they look crazy like youre trying to hide something. I know you are trying to hide something but you never want to look like you are. It makes people curious, like a bad lie. Im 292 and I am wearing a 22/24 bottom and 18/20 top (I also go by LB sizes). I really look at the fit of my clothes as opposed to the size. I always go with fitted never loose, unless that is the way the garment is supposed to fit (even then only blouses). Length is a HUGE problem right now, if a store doesnt go Tall enough (ie 35-36 inseam) Im screwed but once I get down to a size 16 I can shop at JCrew and Gap Talls.
  21. HELLO FELLOW NYers! Im from Manhattan, born and raised. I was banded at St Lukes. Tachababy we are close to each other. Im uptown in Washington Heights. Its really nice to see a neighbor.
