    I have wanted the LAP-BAND® surgery for several years now. I am only 5'3" and weigh 290 pounds. I have degenerating knee disease. osteopenia, and am borderline diabetic. I want to keep on living and I have tried losing weight and I just can't get around and get the exercise I need. I am unemployed and there is no money or insurance to pay for this surgery.
