Hello everyone! This is my first post to your forum. I have been approved for surgery and am waiting for my psyche eval/dietitian appt. Will be having surgery hopefully in the next 4-5 weeks. :thumbup: I have SEVERE acid reflux. So severe. I am on meds that control it very well. I have dealt with it since I was little. I understand that some people find that their heartburn/reflux completely disappears after getting the lapband, as it actually acts as if you have had the "Nissan Fundiplication" surgery (where your esophagus is banded with part of your stomach to keep reflux down) that actually fixes the acid reflux issue. So, I am PRAYING that I get to kill TWO ugly birds with ONE stone. But, I know everyone is different. I would like to know from those that suffer/ed from severe acid reflux BEFORE the surgery, how are you doing now with the reflux? Thanks! Jenn

Aren't you worried about the aftercare?
