Waiting...is going to drive me crazy!

Yay, that's fantastic! I called yesterday to check my status and so far it seems as if BCBSTX is on the ball with the policy changes, but needed more info, which ended up being my 3 months of a weightloss program. I got that right away, and faxed it myself to BCBS, since it would have taken forever with the Dr.'s office. I'm hoping it won't take more than a day or two more..... maybe I'll be next! And let us know about your date :thumbup1:

Good luck! Mine was submitted yesterday to BCBSTX, and I'm hoping for a quick turnaround too! Hang in there and try to keep busy
  5. Funny that you mention knitting... thats exactly what I took up when I quit! LOL Try it, its not so bad
  6. Chantix..... I never thought I'd be able to quit, but it was a piece of cake with this miracle drug. I haven't looked back since!
  7. I'm getting closer. Called the surgeons office and they have all my paperwork. Unfortunately, the surgeon is away at a conference until next week, and because I'll be his first sleeve patient, the coordinator wants to talk to him before submitting it to insurance. I'm getting a little nervous because they are booking into the first week of August and I won't get a date until my insurance approves it. I go back to work at the end of August and want time to recover. I called BCBS this morning and gave them the CPT code of 43775, and I was told that its covered with a predetermination from the Dr's office and letter of medical necessity. Not going to believe it until I see it though! Just getting antsy......I've gone through the process fairly quickly, but I want to get it done NOW. :smile1: Its so helpful though to read everyone's posts.... the more informed I am, hopefully the smoother it will all go for me!
