  1. Jguttery, my surgery is two days after yours.. even though its a month away i am still freaking out a little. Good thing is the doctor said that i have no pre-op diet, I just have to drink clear liquids the day before.
  2. I actually just found out today that my surgery is scheduled for November 3. I am a teacher and the two days after that i have off for teachers convention and than that weekend. If I have too I can take monday off too, but i am hoping that I can go on that monday. I know its only four days out, but I teach special ed high school, and If I'm not there i freak out cause i know my kids will cross any line just to test another teacher.
  3. Ok so the office called me today and I decided on the date of Nov 3. I am nervous as all hell and now am thinking maybe I should wait till december. I hate pain and am scared this is gonna knock me off my feet.
  4. i just bought p90 and i gotta tell you i must be a spaz cause i can honestly only get through like 40 min than i basically drop to the ground. I like it, but I'm pretty sure it's for super hero's or something.
  5. So I was looking at pictures of myself from a recent family get together and I nearly puked on myself. Ok so I have decided I need this lap band more than anything. Diets have driven me up a wall, from counting points to pre packaged food (gross). I've done it all and now its time for a tool to help me with this battle. My BMI is about 37 which puts me at a possible self pay but I'm gonna try the insurance route any way. It does cover WLS so I'm hoping it goes thru. Phhhheeeewwww glad I got that off my chest. Abs from NJ
  6. I am also going to Dr. Ortiz but about three weeks after you. However i don't think you actually need a a companion, but of course it would be nice. Hey we could of traveled together if you were three weeks later.
  7. OMG you have just completely opened a new door to me.. I am in my consulation stage right now with the banding. I am also on effexor and it has clearly been one hell of a struggle with the weight loss while on it, but to get off of it is a pain i here. Are you having any side effects from it?
  8. Hello all, Well, I'm a newbie here from New Jersey and have finally decided i need to do the lap band for myself. However my downfall comes as this.. My BMI is 33.5 which basically puts me into the self pay catagory which is fine ( not fine but its do able). So now the decision is , where to go, where to go, where to go. I have heard good things about mexico and my decision is to basically pick between Dr. Rumburt, and Dr, Sanchez. (hopefully i spelled both correctly) Ok so my point is this has anyone who had surgery in mexico able to get fills in the usa. I heard this is difficult because many of the doctors in the us won't fill those who went for surgery in mexico. I am a teacher and it would be so difficult for me to have to go to mexico to get fills. Soooooo please if any input in available pllleeeaaassee let me know. :faint: Thanks all. Abs
