  1. My doc said its ok if it doesn't get stuck and you can tolerate it. Every doctor is different. Yeah, it went down but when I called today he even told me my band was finicky under floro, so I'm gonna go in for a little unfill.
  2. I ate a peice of toast this morning for breakfast and BAM it gets stuck. My fill was Wednesday It was done under floro but honestly I think I'm a little tooo tight. Every time I eat even protien shakes it hurts. Should I go for an unfill or wait it out.
  3. I feel the exact same way I'm still on full liquids and wanna eat my arm off. I called the dr and explained to him the situation and told me to try some cottage cheese which I did and still not making me full. So I go in next Thursday to see him hopefully I'll be able to go into full mushies cause this is nuts. I feel your pain.
  4. I had the single incision done on the 19 of this month. My Dr. told me it would be fine for me to have the single incision. My surgery lasted 45 min and was walking around within two hours of being in recovery. I can honestly say I had NO gas pain what so ever. I had only minimal pain and used the prescribed meds for the first two days and that's all. I actually was at home depot the night of my surgery walking around. Everyone is different some experience more pain than others.
  5. I agree I am only 4 days out and I already hate liquids. I have honestly decided i will never eat soup again or protien shakes. I need real food, Sunday is Easter and I think I'm gonna try to eat the inside of a stuffed shell and see how I handle it. Thankfully I don't have much pain at all just in the belly button where they did the single incision.
  6. Awesome my band twin lol. I only took one does of the meds too. I wonder I that's because there is only one incision? Not much gas either
  7. Your in nj too. Who are you using as your dr?
  8. Just banded today. Not in terrible pain but you know you had surgery. I also had the single incision surgery. Anyone else put there had their surgery today??
  9. If you have a Costco near you they have premier protien shakes and they have 30g of protien.
  10. Thank you. I was like awesome I'm an umpa lumpa (spelling)
  11. So my surgery was today only after being resheduled 3 times. I woke up in pain, but after about 2 hours I was fine. I actually came home slept than had to run to home depot cause our roof starting to leek and we had to get stuff to fix it. I had the single incision which are covered by strips and glue right now. My tummy looks like I went and got a bad spray tan not sure what that is. i'm nervous and excited about the journey.
  12. By this time already your probably waking up in recovery. Well mine is tomorrow and now I feel the nerves you have. Please post how ur progress and surgery went. I wish you the best of luck
  13. Bruinfan your preop is the exact as mine and I go in the same time on wenesday.. I'm starting to get the jitters now.
  14. Thanks for the reply my anxiety is all over the place right now
  15. My date is wednesday the 16 and I am officially freaking out. I'm somewhat lucky that my pre op diet is clear liquids just the day before surgery. My biggest fear is the anesthesia.
  16. Hello all out of curiosity how many lapband surgeries has your surgeon done. Mine has done 600 plus. However I don't know if that's a good number or should it be higher. I'm suppose to be banded on Wednesday and of course now three days before I start to freak out and question everything. I do know the hospital is a center of excellence and probably one of the best hospitals in nj. Any info would be so greatfully appreciated.
  17. The dr started as a general surgeon and than went into a fellowship where she focused on barisctrics surgery and was a founder of something called the rose procedure.
  18. Does a surgeon doing 600 band surgeries considered a qualified surgeon. I keep going back and forth wondering if this is a good number or should I seek a surgeon who has done more?
  19. So I suppose to be banded on monday but of course with the luck I have I caught my husbands cold two days ago. Its a bad one too. Coughing my lungs out and sweats but no fever. Question is should I still go to the hospital on monday to be banded or call my surgical coordinator and let her know that I have a cold?
  20. Mine is the 27. I'm not nervous yet but actually more excited. I have no pre op diet except for the day before which is a clear liquid diet for 24 hours. My biggest fear is the anesthesia which scares the poop out of me. Other than that all is good. Let's do this
  21. Hi Anne, my day is the 27 also. So your my band twin
  22. I was on it during the summer. Your only allowed to have 500 calories the first week, and it's basically all protien. I tried it for a week but got so sick of just eating meat I wanted to puke. They give you pills and b12 shots twice a week. I heard it works but I couldn't handle it.
  23. Hello all december peeps. I was supposed to be banded in november however my primary doc took to long to get everything in order so now I'm scheduled for december 27 its a late christmas gift.
  24. I don't have to do a pre op diet either. I'm going this weekend to get all the fancy pre op surgery stuff taken care of. Since I'm being banded november 3 hopefully by thanksgiving I can maybe eat some cranberry sauce.
  25. I just got all the paper work from the doctor about all the pre op things that need to be done like within 3 weeks from the surgery. I have to go get blood work, and ekg, and i think like five other things. I keep delaying it because I hate needles and seeing blood drawn. I just gotta sick it up and go.
