  1. Guys, use this link: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...thkey=CIbr1NIE#
  2. I've heard grated cauliflower is a good substitute for rice. For pasta I've been using spaghetti squash. Delicious!
  3. Give your body time to heal! You just had surgery. You may be holding onto some water weight. You definitely aren't gaining, so take that into account. Let your body heal and the weight will come off. This happened to me as well. First week I didn't lose much, then the second week I was losing 7lbs a week. The liquid diet is HARD, but stick with it. It's all worth it in the end.
  4. The band really won't change how much weight you lose. One is newer than the other, but your surgeon probably choose the one that he saw to be the most fitting for you. I wouldn't be upset as he/she is the expert.
  5. Nope, no fill! Doctor said I don't need one as I'm not hungry at all. I've incorporated a little bit more exercise into things and the scale is moving down again. Though I'll get a fill if I hit a plateau again.
  6. Hunger is normal and you have no reason at all to feel guilty. Just make sure you are picking the right food choices and not relying on sliders/sugar to make the hunger go away.
  7. I'm hovering between 208-209lbs. I've been exercising like a crazy woman and the scale is going down again. I was stuck at 211-213lbs for a little bit.
  8. You'll get there! I've got 8-9lbs to go and I can't wait to see 199lbs. Make sure you are exercising and getting your water in and you will see the 2 go away soon!
  9. My doctor said no driving if I'm still on the pain meds. If it's not that far away you will probably be okay, but maybe ask your surgeon?
  10. Get back on the scale! It doesn't help to avoid things. Maybe you didn't gain as much as you think. If you did gain, start back at square one. I was banded May 10 and I've lost almost 37lbs. I'm not hungry between meals so no fill, but my weight has been going up and down recently. Guess I'm hitting that plateau.
  11. Congrats on your loss! That's awesome. People lose at different rates, so I wouldn't be too worried. On the mushy stage mashed potatoes are allowed. If the pumpkin can be stringy, i'd be very careful. Maybe run it through the food processor if you have one.
  12. I'm assuming you're on the post-op liquid diet, if so, remember what you eat generally comes out the same way. Liquids in, liquids out. Mine did get better after a few days so hopefully yours will as well. Also, what did you drink? I was told nothing but water and dilated juice post-op for a few weeks, but I mostly stuck to water with a half of packet of Crystal Light.
  13. This is so weird! Usually I'm eating around 800-900 calories a day. Yesterday I got into the 1000-1100 range and the scale has moved DOWN!!! I'm guessing I'm not getting enough calories in.
  14. It's definitely all part of the process. It will be over soon, so keep your head up. Just think that in time you'll be losing weight and on your way to being healthy.
  15. Thank you everyone!! You're all so so helpful. Much appreciated. I'm gonna promise myself to stay off the scale for awhile. I am getting 64oz+ of water in a day. Hopefully this is just a plateau, and a short one at that! I'll keep on trucking. Thank you guys again.
  16. Got it! So should I start cutting down to 4-5oz on my own and see what happens? I was told by a few that my calorie count was too low so I'm all confused!!
  17. So I'll be banded 5 weeks next Monday, and I've been at a stand-still since the day I've started whole foods. I haven't lost a thing, but of course the scale is up some days and down the next, but never below 209.2lbs. I eat my 3 meals a day, no Snacks, simply because I am not hungry between meals. Breakfast is usually an egg with 2 pieces of bacon, lunch is usually a salad w/ chicken, and dinner is something usually 4oz. meat with 1/4-1/2 cup of food. I get around 800-1000 calories a day and I've been staying under 30 carbs, hoping that it'd help me lose weight but obviously it isn't. My Protein levels are in the 80s+ each day. Does anyone have any idea why I'm not losing? I talked to my nut. and she said everything looked fine, but I'm suspecting I am not getting enough calories. I have been walking about 2 miles a day and last night I even ran because I'm so frustrated. I have my next appt. with my doctor on Monday to see if I need a fill, but I'm sure I don't as I am not grazing and I'm not hungry between meals. Any ideas at all? Do I need to just wait it out some?
  18. Down a pound this week. Just started whole foods Monday and wasn't getting enough calories in, so I stalled for a few days.
  19. Mr doctor said a few people have been successful without needing a fill. I've lost about 30lbs so far at a month out and I have no fill. I do feel some restriction and maybe that's just from the band. I'm unsure but I'm not complaining. Also, if you aren't losing weight and you're on whole foods, up your calories. I was at about 600-700 calories a day and I've bumped it up to 800-900 and the scale is moving once again.
  20. B: 1 egg w/ 2 bacon slices L: 1 cup lettuce w/ 4oz chicken, hemp seed, and sprinkle of parm. cheese D: taco salad w/ turkey meat Too bad I've gained weight since eating normal foods again!
  21. Down 7lbs again this week. Was only 1lb away from my goal, so I bumped it up from 15lbs to 20lbs.
  22. Hope things go well! My doctor has me on gallstone medication for 6 months to prevent them. He said losing weight/gaining weight suddenly can cause them.
  23. I hope so too. But even with no fills, eating 3/4 a cup really fills me up! My surgeon said if I keep losing like I am, I won't need a fill. I go to see him June 21. I should (WILL!) be in onederland by then.
  24. I was banded May 10. I've lost almost 30lbs so far and I'm estatic!! No fill. Just pure willpower and eating 3/4 cup of food. But after eating 3/4, I do feel satisfied. I've been doing well. I start whole foods on Monday.
