Thanks everyone for the input. When I had my meeting with the surgeon, I asked him is there anything that i needed to do before surgery. And very down to earth and frank he told me there is but it doesn't look like i'd be conforming to his directions...he is probably right. So I guess he will just have to move my big liver aside.lol I watched the procedure on YouTube performed by Dr. Hadar Spivak and he was dealing with a big liver but said it wasn't the worst he's seen. So 4 days i will be eating preop diet and hope it helps. so excited and still so nervous!!

I have my surgery in 5 days and just now found out about the pre-op diet!!?? So I am going to crash diet for my pre-op and hope for the best. I am glad I found this site and KNOW that it will help me get through the days ahead.

I am going to have my surgery on March 25 and I'm looking for people having theirs around the same time so that we can support each other. I don't really have a support system and I think one will come in handy. So if anyone wants to be my friend and confidante...ADD ME.
